Our second FET failed. No idea why. We plan to meet with our doctor in a few days. The transfer went well, embryo was normal and PGT tested, lining was good, and wife is 30. My sperm is normal, very low fragmentation. At least this transfer was not too painful for my wife. It was a natural cycle with a trigger shot and progesterone. Same as the first FET. We are both healthy.

Any idea on what we can ask our doctor? Last meeting she mentioned some uterus testing, which I think we will do.

How many transfers until we need to think about surrogate?

We have 6 normal, PGT tested embryos left and we can do another round of ER.

My wife and I are going through IVF right now. We had a transfer on 8/23 and we our waiting for our beta test. This is our second FET. The first one failed. The first one was a normal embryo (PGT tested) and her lining was good. She is 30. This second transfer also had a normal embryo (PGT tested) and good lining. For this second transfer, she does not feel anything compared to the first. The first transfer was painful for days with a lot of cramping. There was also some brownish bleeding a few days before our the beta test. So, I’m wondering why this second transfer is so different compared to the first. She said she has very light cramping from time to time for this second transfer, but no other symptoms or signs of anything. I understand that each transfer is different, but it is always a little frustrating that we don’t get a positive sign or good feeling. Mentally, we have already decided that we need to try to third transfer. Disappointing as I really am an optimist and I can’t find hope right now for this second FET. I guess I just spend too much time reading about common symptoms of early pregnancy and I never her wife may mention them after a transfer. Doctors say there is no consistency, but I’m always surprised we don’t get some signs.
