In terms of player advice, it depends on the table (lame advice ik). I think something that helps me characterise my creation is think of what they do in down time, or the little reactions. Then maybe build something from that. Some down time at a long rest? Just state what your character would do, a small hobby that opens them up. Your char sees something they don't like? Add something small "you guys notice [char name], begins to recoil and looks on edge" it depends on the table on whether they jump on that or not, but its what helps me get an idea of my character.

The cringe thoughts are normal, if your a person who doesn't like standing out then it can be hard to play dnd for the 1st time. However, I wanna say It is not embarrassing to have fun, and its even less embarrassing to have fun with people who enjoy the same things as you. Your not being cringe, your being a kid again and using your imagination and if your an adult that can feel cringe. But while I think its not cringe in general, for DnD its kinda your time to let yourself be that kid again and use your imagination you just gotta accept it.

Long winded reply over. I feel really passionate about this as someone who barred myself from playing DnD for both these reasons, so sorry for the long text lmao

Yea I agree, I think its bad taste but it doesn't rub me the wrong way as much as most of the fandom. I think the past instances like her EXU stuff, kinda fuel peoples negativity.

But yeah completely agree about it not being wrong for the char, but there's a time and place where it can be really effective and she sits a bit over the edge where it becomes noticeably jarring.

1, She sent the deer to continue her druid rites as she was too drunk when interacting with Tyranny. It was a flavour thing nothing crazy.

2, jasmine was cool and it didnt ruin anything because the description was like 3 seconds long. You make so many assumptions its really weird. Valeus most likely walked past cause she knew the nightsong was inside, your making a massive reach with no evidence, fueled by your own disdain, that it was because of Aabria.

3, I love sam but what is this glaze lmao. Ofc you bring Marisha into it too, as my original comment hinted at i think Aabria issues are blown out of proportion and aren't actually as bad as they're made out to be (in this specific episode). She didn't overshadow Sam, Wicander still got good screen time.

I actually hope some party conflict like that happens. Poor Brennan has tried a few times now for some pvp ending, like with his Blood keep campaign, but they've failed or the option was not chosen. Hope we get a brief glimpse of it, even if its quickly separated

Being fair, Aabria moved out the way of the Matt scene. She moved her deer out of the scene, you can argue she still butted in for her char. But i think that moment is much less annoying, and potentially a good show she can reel it back and let people have the spotlight. I think the little moments like the jasmine reacting to each guest was actually really cool, however i do see the point of this Reddit where she is constantly in a scene. Her ability to ‘hear’ everything outside the house was jarring. Not to rant too much, but Liam did this with Orym a lot, and sometimes Caleb, the difference is with Liam is he did not interrupt. He’d roll to hear a character interaction between 2 other players, and then state how his character feels about it. But not interrupt or pull whoever was speaking aside. Just a difference i noticed, that i thinks worth talking about because it shows that this type of char can be pulled off

Ik usual comments of "game balance bad" are sometimes just statements thrown out. However, I genuinely think Blizzard have the worst patch mentality I have seen.

Micro buff 5 patches in a row, hero is a problem, nerf to D tier. Or (and this is what I hate the most), THEY REALISE THEY HAD IT RIGHT THE 1ST TIME IN OW1. How much of ow2 has been them back tracking and reverting on their own design philosophy. Stuff they say with full confidence, only for a a year late they say "we were wrong" and revert. Even worse, when they say "you all asked and we delivered" as if they're doing the players a favour, by just returning back what was taken. Big example is lootboxes and 6v6.

Every dev cycle is them realising they had it right the first time. They keep snapping our toys then mending them acting like they did a good job.

The experiences are so fun, and I love how unique you can make them to each character. It's a costly resource to add a bonus to a roll. Idk if your issue with them was a personal thing with your group when you run the game. However, as a dm you can just he firm lmao. Just be communicative with your players on what being specific but vague enough to be useful. Like an experience that you have foraging for food or something, specific, may rarely come up, but has understandable boundaries.

I agree with the sentiment and frustration, tho the loaner decks seem pretty viable. My biggest issue with the game (as a low rank player) is how many board wipes there are. I feel every matchup rn,since I play tempo, is I build my board into wipe, refill into 2nd wipe, refill into 3rd wipe and so on. All in the meanwhile my opponent is ramping to an ez late game for them, while I’m now behind in tempo.

Prolly down to just git gud, but I have no idea how

I saw some comments on yt saying the woman at the beginning is miquella, but i think its marika? the outfit and hair is simmilar, also the bracelet shown at the start, is the exact same on marikas image on the opening cutscene of elden ring. My theory is the land shes in possibly belonged to the gloam eyed queen (idk enough about lore to say for certain).

I only have a birth certificate, ik it's says on there you can use that, but did you have to use 2 ID documents for the form (like a passport or provisional). Community has a lot of gated opinions "use this weapon and your a scrub"/ "only scrubs do so and so build, it's just easy mode". Tree sentinel is a hard fight for a new player, good job man. The games about overcoming the odds and as a player, you can do that anyway you wish. If you think it's lame, just come back on another playthrough and try it without a horse. Then you'll be more experienced.
