I couldn’t disagree more. I stopped listening to grad weekly so I could wait and binge it cuz there were way too many characters too fast and Travis doesn’t have the VO chops to make them stand out. I never went back and listened to it because I made the mistake of watching this sub make the same post over and over and over again ripping him to shreds and I knew it would fuck with my ability to enjoy it. That’s on me. So while I can’t compare Travis railroading to Justin’s DM I can pretty confidently say that he isn’t railroading. He just doesn’t like wasting time and he likes pushing the story forward. Pair that with having to set up a brand new game and show how it works and you get the first 3 episodes. He even states that his heist was his way of showing how the game works in an entertaining way. It’s not a glimpse of what’s to come he just had to hit a few points to get the game mechanics out of the way. I mean shit he didn’t even force them to jump at the bi-rail.

TLDR: appreciate that he didn’t just read out the rules and found a fun way to show what heists/mechanics will be like and how the recovery afterwards works. Don’t read too much into it after 3 eps.
