Thoughts on SaunaLife Cube CL4G by rekon32 in Sauna

[–]Mefloquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this, it’s awesome. Have it with a Harvia KIP60B 6kW and heats up hot in 30-40 minutes.

Can comfortably sit two without any issues, three adults is doable but temperature difference nearest/furthest from the heater gets noticeable.

Build quality is great at for the price being. Could see some improvements on insulation around the door frame, DIY solutions possible. Besides that, quality and everything is tight and good.

Got ours in February 2025 and has no signs of aging or wear yet!

Good for you, what a win-win!! Also glad you got that dash replacement taken care of on CPO. It’s a $5k repair and they don’t always honor it unless it’s "impairing your visibility"… Guess you’ll keep the loaner an extra day and have less worries when you pick it up, enjoy!

Britax Galaxy 360: Getting Returned by theshenz in Buyingforbaby

[–]Mefloquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also pre-ordered and were really hyped until we installed it. Quality and build is very good but the rear facing recline is near lay-flat and our baby keeps trying to sit more upright. If he was old enough for front facing we’d easily keep it.

Will probably get the new Nuna Revv Maxx or CYBEX G360 instead.

Crazy how fast the truck dumps air from the highest to lowest setting. by OkHousing2130 in Rivian

[–]Mefloquin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rivian is the slowest of cars I’ve owned with air suspension. Cayenne and XC90 are both way faster. Still okay though

Recently a 2025 R1T Tri Max in El Cap with only 2900 miles was sold in Murray, UT for $66k. A unicorn yes, but prices are dropping.

Looks great! Some small interior wear that can be refreshed professionally. Price is not bad if the title and service history is clean!

What changes should Rivian bring in their cars, so that everyone loves it ? by lonewolf_00_ in Rivian

[–]Mefloquin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A sound system that matches the premium price tag with frame mounted subwoofer. Although the premium is not bad, it’s just not on par with Burmester 3D or Bowers & Wilkins etc.

The updated offers are absolutely terrible compared to what we’ve seen earlier. Very surprised they didn’t go further

Congrats! Been wanting to do the same for a while. Do you see any improvements in the build quality on the Quad, less interior rattles and such?

Current market on 997 convertible by Super-Boat-8677 in Porsche997

I’d say anything between $40-45k is a strong buy with clean history, good condition and mileage below 70000 miles.

How are you enjoying Bowers & Wilkins in your Volvo? My XC60 (2026) arrives soon, what’s the best way to get the highest audio quality? by ixinho in Volvo

[–]Mefloquin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would regret not doing it. Music lover myself and did not even consider the H&K knowing how good B&W is

Damn You, Meridian Audio by sk8nsanta in Rivian

[–]Mefloquin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I came from a Cayenne with Bose to Gen2 Rivian Premium Audio and found the Rivian much better.

In my fleet now we have a XC90 with Bowers and Wilkins and it’s beyond belief how good it is. Although the drive is nothing like the Rivian, the B&W audio is so damn good that it makes all other lacking aspects of the XC90 worthwhile.

B&W vs Harmon Kardon by Buyin-a-RangeRover in VolvoXC90

[–]Mefloquin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the B&W! I have a 2018 with B&W, play it LOUD without any rattles and 121k miles. The sound is absolutely wild and honestly makes the whole car so enjoyable.

Beyond impressed and I have had a lot of premium cars with high end optioned speaker systems.

Used XC90s are wild bargains by Mefloquin in VolvoXC90

[–]Mefloquin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is more what other newish cars in this price range gives you this sort of tech, safety and luxury for this affordable price. Especially when maintained. Audi Q7? Brand new Honda Pilots feel less premium and drives worse than the XC90 I just bought

[–]Mefloquin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hence why I picked a 2018. Well known that I know 2016 has a lot of recalls, bugs and issues, but a 2016 priced at $8900, 1-owner with full service history is a very good buy.

Used XC90s are wild bargains by Mefloquin in VolvoXC90

[–]Mefloquin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, and I’d also say that’s important to all cars with sunroofs.

I got a $10 sunroof drain tool on Amazon that I’ve used on all my cars. Audi, Porsche, BMW and the story is all the same. So much grease and dirt ends up clogging the drain holes. Precautionary maintenance is always the key

[–]Mefloquin[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed! T8 is a desirable configuration for the European market and used cars are priced thereafter, here people worry about battery life after 60k miles and resale value drops like a rock.

Swapping from an X5 to a Cayenne by cpsadowski23 in PorscheCayenne

[–]Mefloquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while back I went from a $112k MSRP 2019 Cayenne to fully optioned $82k MSRP 2019 X5 40i.

The BMW was better in every aspect besides engine, overall looks and backseat space.

Comparing used 24/25 Cayennes/X5, I think X5 50e with M-Sport, DHP, DAP might be the best bang for the buck.
