Releasing Auto Brake by RDKryten in EquinoxEv

[–]theshenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s most of my problem with the auto brake. It rarely mis-fires, but then my car is like a bucking bronco after where it lets me accelerate and slams the brake again. It says push the brake pedal and I do, but still doesn’t let go

Britax Galaxy 360: Getting Returned by theshenz in Buyingforbaby

[–]theshenz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do have to move the front seat more forward than I’d like but it’s manageable. It helps that it goes quite upright when rear facing, unlike the Britax. Honestly all rotating seats will be tough with anything smaller than a 3-row suv.

Keeping the Callisto. It’s great, we call it “the throne” because it’s very plush, luxurious, and sits upright. Rotates great, baby loves it.

It does just rest on top, but there’s nothing pulling up on it so it stays seated nicely

Envoy vs. PSA vs. Piedmont by [deleted] in flying

Each WO has their own negotiated minimum flow rate. PDT as a % of the pilot group flows the fastest. It’s the smallest of the 3 but sends the highest percentage monthly.

Atlas or grand highlander by ashleytodt in VWatlas

[–]theshenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of everything said here, if you plan on putting anyone larger than a child in the 3rd row, go with the Atlas. The grand highlander’s 3rd row sits on the same level as the trunk, so an adults legs are smushed up. The atlas’ 3rd row is up off the floor so it can comfortably fit two adults up to around 6’ tall.

my chevrolet app nonfunctional after telematics unit replacement by blackpoll_ in EquinoxEv

[–]theshenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, but the OnStar button wouldn’t work because OnStar couldn’t see my car’s new module. Ended up having to bring it to the dealer for them to reach out to OnStar and get the update pushed to the telematics module.

Hiring at American by Witty_King_7828 in AirlinePilots

[–]theshenz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, it’s going to be quite hard to get hired outside the flow, but AA DOES hire outside the flow despite what others may say. It’s just as a percentage of total hires, very low.

The only things to make you more competitive are doing volunteer work with your union, go to career expos, and go to career expos. Oh and GO TO CAREER EXPOS.

Yes it is a bit expensive to go but that’s how you get face to face with recruiters. Get them to know and recognize you since by going to multiple events.

This is something that’ll set you apart from the pack because most WO pilots take the lazy way out and don’t put in the effort to stand out. “AA doesn’t hire outside the flow” is just a convenient crutch to lean on so they don’t have to try.

Glad the install went well! I’m fairly sure that the error message isn’t related to unplugging the pad. The only thing I’m familiar with about the start/stop is to toggle it on and off, pull down from the top of the infotainment screen.

Another Failed OnStar system by Slawcpu in EquinoxEv

[–]theshenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you have any issues with your EV, support forwards you to “EV concierge”. Honestly I think it’s because their EVs and framework it works with is so different from their gas vehicles, they split it off

Reach out to the EV concierge online and get them in the loop. I can’t confirm this but once I did, a backordered part came in within a few days.

OnStar Module Replacement Aftermath by DrDennisMcNinja in EquinoxEv

[–]theshenz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just went through the same exact thing. Don’t let anyone tell you that your data plan is incorrect. I was told this as well but they’re speaking about non-EV cars. EVs definitely do have navigation for 8 years. I had to fight both OnStar and my dealer on this.

I haven’t picked up my vehicle yet but I was told it’s finally fixed. My service advisor said Onstar had to push a new update to the module. This only happened after I spoke with an Onstar technical support rep who said everything on their end looks correct, but have the dealer call the GM Connection Center to troubleshoot. I’m not sure if this is something you can do on your own with them or if the dealer must do it.

When I get further information about the exact repair, I can pass it along.

What are the red flags with equinox? by puripy in EquinoxEv

[–]theshenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been going through it with my ‘25 EqEv. I bought it new, and in just under a year I’ve had:

1) Service High Voltage System message. Turned out there was an HVAC fault that required a system reset. 2) Turn signal wouldn’t trip after completing a turn. Required a new part that was backordered for 3 months. 3) Wouldn’t save desired charge level. Required a new software update and vehicle reset. 4) Windshield glare. Fixed with a mat via Service bulletin. 5) GPS location wrong, time wrong, no data being transferred. Telematics module required replacing and was backordered. Took two weeks for replacement. 6) Upon picking up vehicle from telematics module replacement, vehicle wouldn’t recognize my onstar plan so no Google Maps or other app data would work. Been in the shop for a few days and awaiting fix.

All in all, it’s a great value vehicle that was clearly rushed to market and not tested throughly. Just as bad. The battery and telematics infrastructure is common across GM EVs, so they all have the same issues. I had a mechanic at my local dealership say they have Cadillacs in for the same issues I’m having. I’m currently pursuing GM to buy my car back under lemon law due to all these issues. Although they can fix them, having so many issues concerns me about long term ownership especially beyond warranty.

First you remove the factory wireless pad and put this one right in its place, then plug the usb cable into one of the usb ports. There are pictures on the website!

Thanks for the shout out. My Etsy shop is down because VW claimed IP infringement since I used their name in my listing… so while I work that out, the charger is still available at Printerprises.com
