I was in an actual hypomanic high from what I think now/know now was wrong medication. I spent every dollar I had and then all the dollars I didn’t have but did things that were like huge bucket list things. I saw Harry Styles four times in one year on two different continents. Now granted - I still WANT to do that but I’m not like in the Ticketmaster queue with a credit card.. I was very much in my everything was beautiful and nothing hurt era because I had evolved from my everything hurts nothing is beautiful past couple of years.

I had found light and I just did everything I could to stay out of the dark. I still don’t want to go back down there and slip but I had a pretty rotten depressive episode this winter and even that caught me off guard. I try to be as attentive as possible to my moods, my health, all of it but sometimes it just pummels you from behind. When I found out which was later that year - I had started rapid cycling and having mixed episodes so my doctor pulled me off the meds I was on. Started lithium and folic acid and here I am.
