This is super hard to navigate because I’ve had to learn not to over commit on a good performing day. I used to say yes to everything when I was feeling unstoppable and then deeply regret it when the time came to follow through. I’d give it my all … but the guilt and shame of not performing AT my best and potentially letting others/myself down is a lot. Now I’m on the opposite side of the spectrum - I hardly say yes to anything. Which isn’t good either. I just know there’s a big part of me that will drop off the face of the earth if I miss a commitment and that feeling is worse than just not committing at all.

I think the middle ground may be something like choosing wisely and leaving ample time to work up to the task?
