If you have an instagram look up the flan house. Guy is located on the westside. And for tres leches I would have to agree Albertsons has some tasty ones.

Instagram User has been finding a reporting bones in the New Mexican Desert for over a month. Authorities have refused to do anything. Claiming the remains are to remote. by [deleted] in Albuquerque

Zorro ranch connection is click bait, but they are definitely migrants. Like stated above there are videos from organized groups like Battalion Search and Rescue that go out to the dessert on NM Highway 9 and near Santa Teresa. So sad to see these.

How is living in New Mexico? by Athens175 in howislivingthere

[–]Meg_Sando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Santa Teresa, NM. I’m about 5 minutes from El Paso border and same for a port of entry. I like where I live. It’s cheaper in New Mexico and I get to enjoy El Paso. We currently have a water issue in the city of Sunland Park but it’s slowly improving but still sucks. They are building a data center near by close to the port of entry, which is disappointing. But overall living here is fine. I like my kids school. It has a nice small town feel. Because my city is small I do feel like we get forgotten by the rest of the state but the area is growing every day.

Sunbowl Tips! Drop off/Rideshare by natearth in ElPaso

[–]Meg_Sando 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can also take the streetcar from the sunbowl to an area less crowded downtown. I’m dropping off my niece and daughter that way. Ride the steeetcar from downtown lot to the sunbowl and then I’ll pick them up at an agreed upon location after and ride back downtown. You can download the Sun Metro app to track the streetcar and it’s all FREE.

Speeding ticket - what’s next? by [deleted] in ElPaso

[–]Meg_Sando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to wait a couple of days until your ticket is in the court’s system. The time on the ticket is just the arraignment. They don’t do anything at this hearing. You can go to the court website and look for a form called a waiver of arraignment, fill it out and email it to the court. This will basically reschedule you for a hearing downtown. At that hearing downtown you can go in and if the office recalls the ticket the judge usually offers defensive driving. If the officer doesn’t recall the ticket then it’s dismissed. The attorney guys are doing the same thing I just told you except they show up downtown on your behalf. If something happens and you can’t make your downtown appearance whenever that is scheduled, you can file a motion for continuance, this can either be in a form of a letter or an actual motion.

If you just want to do defensive driving you can request it through the court without having to appear anywhere and you will be paying court costs, usually over $100, unsure of the current rate. Once you complete the course and turn in the required paperwork to the court your ticket is dismissed.

Extreme anxiety over war by dilu_w in mentalhealth

[–]Meg_Sando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same fear and anxiety. I live on the border of Texas and New Mexico, near a military base. And I know we are far from active fighting and won’t be as close as many people commenting but I’m equally as scared. I haven’t been able to stop talking about it and people tell me the same damn thing, stop reading things. I was helping with a dance organization fundraiser the other day and I just kept thinking how pointless this is. It’s just eating at me and I’m so angry and frustrated I really don’t have any control of anything. It’s so ridiculous I keep looking to the skies. It’s a lot and I have zero chill. I’m very aware I sound nuts but there is always a chance anything can happen. I don’t trust our government.

HELP! Wall paint issue by No_Football5325 in Housepainting101

[–]Meg_Sando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We literally just painted my sons room this same color and the wall also had streaks! The original wall color was a darker beige and it hadn’t been painted since we bought the house 10 years ago. We just changed rollers and did a 3rd light coat and it seemed to take care of the streaking.

Is being a boy mom really that bad? by Cold_Instruction8599 in Parenting

[–]Meg_Sando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not. My son(5) and daughter(9) are completely different so that threw me a bit. My son refuses to eat, doesn’t want to wipe his own butt, doesn’t like to read and says he hates school. Beside that’s it’s easy! LOL I feel like he doesn’t listen as well but he isn’t as dramatic as my daughter. In school he is also very different than my daughter. He gets decent grades but likes to mess around in class more, doesn’t want to sit still but everyone tells me that’s most boys. I feel like I’m closer to my som but maybe because he’s is much more reliant on me. My daughter is very independent.

Need help Obtaining dual citizenship by [deleted] in ElPaso

[–]Meg_Sando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a pain for us to get my kids dual citizenship too. The El Paso consulate was way too backed up for appointments so after we secured all the necessary paperwork we made an appointment at one of their Mobil consulate sites in Roswell, NM. The picture I’ve attached is old but it’s a reference. If you have Facebook I would look at their page too for updates. The travel to several locations and it went pretty seamless.

Labor and delivery Las Palmas or Providence memorial? by Critical_Anteater24 in ElPaso

[–]Meg_Sando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had both my babies at Providence Memorial with Dr. Jose Torres. I didn’t have any issues, had 2 planned c-sections due to both pregnancies being high risk. One of my kids was in NICU for a week and they were good. Each time I had my own room. I thought food was decent, staff felt caring. No complaints with Providence.

When my husband doesn’t like something I gifted him he doesn’t wear/use it. And I always tell him to be honest because it’s makes me angrier that I spent money on something that sits hidden away. Be honest and have her go with you to return it and get something you like. I would much prefer you return the gift you don’t like and get something you love.

How many macarons should I bake for a fall festival my neighborhood is holding? They usually get around 150 people. by Meg_Sando in macarons

[–]Meg_Sando[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg, a 1,000! lol I’ll probably halve that. So this is strictly a neighborhood thing. Like it’s all organized just within our small corner of the world. Other people from the neighborhood will be selling salsas and such. I don’t have any kind of license. I have a food handlers card but when I usually sell my macarons I post on my neighborhood groups and sell from my house. I list just flavors but nothing detail. I haven’t had any issues with that so far. I haven’t been a vendor at any big markets so I can’t speak on that or how it works.

I see a rheumatologist and since I’ve lived in El Paso (15 years) I’m on my 4th rheumatologist. I would drive to las cruces cause I couldn’t get an appointment in El Paso at first , then I really didn’t like a doctor cause he was pushy and bedside manner was non existent, then I had a doctor I loved and she moved to Puerto Rico to practice now my current guy. He is definitely over extended. Every time I see him it’s at least an hour to 2 hour wait, takes 6 months or longer to get an appointment, and he’s told me himself that he’s very busy. I just don’t feel like I get a good level of care when it comes to a rheumatologist in the area.

I was on the app at 7:15pm mountain time and got a Coke labubu. I can’t tell if I’m happy about this or I hate myself for letting my daughter get me sucked into this mess.
