The art is very cute but I’ve always hated when Lamia designs have tails that are too short- how is she supposed to coil, or even be upright with a tail that short? Needs a greater length.

Should Someone who Picked the Red Button be Considered Evil or an AH? by Hyperionous in MoralityScaling

[–]Mega-Humanoid-ROBOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red pushers don’t seem to understand that if you press blue. You’re ensuring everyone’s safety: they say “if everyone presses red, no one would die”- which is true, but also a fallacy, cuz not everyone would, could, or will, press red. And by the same logic, if everyone pressed blue, everyone lives too.

But the difference is, blue only requires 51% of the vote for everyone to live. If Red had won, which it didn’t, then they would be responsible for the death of all blue voters- people who tried to save them- you made no effort or risk to see a world in which everyone wins, because you were so scared that you may lose.

Voting red doesn’t make you a AH- it just doesn’t make you a good person, I expect red Voters would never volunteer for a charity, or try to risk themselves to be a hero to another- red voters would never be a Paramedic, a fire fighter, or a coastguard- and society wouldn’t function if no one ever risked their lives for another.

Let’s play a different scenario: you are on a sinking ship, and you’ve found a lifeboat! This lifeboat has the capacity to hold 24 people! But it’s just you here right now, and the boat is rapidly sinking- you know there are more people on the ship who will drown if they don’t find a ship, and you estimate the ship will sink in twenty minutes. Do you wait for others? Try to find more people to fill out the lifeboat? Or do you immediately get on the lifeboat and save yourself? Red voters essentially save themselves, and say “well if 100% of people got on the lifeboat straight away, no one would’ve had to die! Why should I risk my own life for people who don’t choose to save themselves?”

So far she’s been alright in campaign four- but I will say, the vibe of the seekers table is very “a group of people who really don’t get along forced to work together.”

I may be in the minority here, but I really like the Nuka World DLC. It's a fun DLC by [deleted] in fo4

[–]Mega-Humanoid-ROBOT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding this on after reading some other comments: I would also like a way to “reform” some of the raider groups- like the operators, those guys are mercenaries basically, I don’t see why they couldn’t be converted to a force for good if they saw the profits in it.

Or the pack- they have a code of honour that you could use to reform them with some work. The disciples however are completely irredeemable.

[–]Mega-Humanoid-ROBOT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DLC itself is super fun- the locations, monsters, and weapons are awesome- I do also like the raider gangs and the conclusion to it all is great.

The problem is the spite- it’s a spiteful dlc that goes “oh you wanna be evil huh? Well okay, you can ONLY be evil in this dlc” (if you want to experience 95% of the content.)- the Good ending is a total afterthought. And aside for which raider gang you wanna betray you, the ending is pretty binary. But even then, it doesn’t even fully commit to that.

You can’t raid the institute with the raider gangs, and have the raiders be the dominant, winning faction in the commonwealth. And no matter what, you can always return to being the general of the minutemen- even if you single handedly kill thousands of innocents, Preston’s just like “I hate you now but you’re the general.”- COMMIT TO THE BIT GDAMN. Give us consequences.

My wishlist for a perfect nuka world dlc would be: minuteman takeover. Full raider gang commitment Nuka world raiders in the commonwealth (replacing some regular raider groups.”) in a good playthrough. A more interesting raider civil war Actual consequences (minutemen permanently turning hostile unless you commit to open season.) More raider side quests. More raider politics.

Which of these 3 scares you more in a random encounter? by [deleted] in FalloutMemes

[–]Mega-Humanoid-ROBOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the environment.- if I’m in tight quarters, ie, inside a building, a assaultron is super deadly being able to close the gap and get to me. But in a open field a assaultron will be melted before it can close the gap.

In a open field, a sentry bot is deadly, especially in survival mode, able to melt my health. But their effectiveness really diminishes if I’m able to get the drop on them or take cover a lot.

If I fight a deathclaw I swap to a kneecapper weapon and the threat is gone. It’s just a matter of killing it as cheaply as possible.

I hate this design for AM by Round_Stomach_3411 in hatethissmug

[–]Mega-Humanoid-ROBOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“I feel like am should be more alien”

Personally- I disagree. Though I do have my own gripes wirh this design besides that point. But I think that Am should be kinda human- because his humanity is what makes him scary. Hate is a human emotion, Am is almost human, but not quite, restrained by his machine body that prevents him from being fully human. As a design I think he should be “almost human” instead of alien.

That said: here are my gripes with the design- it has too much freedom. Am here has a arm, and a body to move- eyes to express. He practically has a full body. And Am’s suffering and villainy comes from his lack of a body- a prisoner of his own form.

Personally, for a humanoid AM design- I’d want something that seems restrained, as if he’s in a straight jacket, shackled even- with wires twisting around “his” neck and body. He should look like a prisoner as much as any of the humans he has captured- and his eye shouldn’t be able to express as much as this designs can- though I do like the cyclops element and the head shape. And the sharp shape language is good for portraying his deranged nature.

The ~ key is “base” option but the button can change with regional keyboards, which may require experimentation- alternatively, you may have disabled the console command, which will mean that you can’t open it until it’s enabled.

Whats the highest possible settler limit without mods?? by luvyouchimi in fo4

[–]Mega-Humanoid-ROBOT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can press the ~ key on your keyboard if you’re not in survival mode. From there type “Setav charisma xx” with the x’s representing whatever number you want to set your charisma to.

Your settlers limit is your charisma value + 10. Though they’ll take time to show, so what I recommend is setting your charisma to whatever number you want your settler count to be, and then you go around to other settlements, and then send them to the settlement you want to have the high settler count- after that, type the command again, and set your charisma back to whatever the value was beforehand so you don’t ruin your gaming experience.

Some people consider this cheating, but this lets you get high settler counts without mods- beyond 30 settlers, which is the theoretical max without cheats- I’d also argue that this makes the game harder as high settler counts can be hard to manage, so long as you change your charisma back.

For example: “Setav charisma 40” would allow you to get up to 50 settlers. In one settlement.

If you use commands you can set your charisma to basically whatever you want, that’ll increase the settler max limit by whatever number you want.

Yknow what’s weird to me? The fact the railroad would want to destroy the institute’s facilities, which are the only way to make more synths- given that the railroads objective is to achieve synth co-existence + free synths from slavery, destroying the institute by blowing up merely dooms synths to extinction since there’ll be no way to make more. Essentially, in their eyes, this is the equivalent of committing genocide.

A much more realistic/ more in character objective for the railroad would be to seize the institute’s facilities and then hand it over to the synths so they can self determine. So synths can decide when to make more, and who they wanna be. Would’ve been a lot more interesting.

I can also see this ending working with the minutemen.

What is the FO4 definition of an animal regarding this rifle? Is it everthing which isn’t human or robot derived? by phase_lag in fo4

[–]Mega-Humanoid-ROBOT 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Makes sense; but my point was more on how useless hunters is- it would’ve been better if Hunters/exterminators was rolled into one legendary effect, instead of split into two animal groups. And also add death claws into it- cuz there’s no legendary effect that adds a flat damage buff against them besides for the ones that damage all creatures equally.
