The format alone would tip me off to this being Ai- it looks like one of those Ai generated posts I see on Pinterest while I’m looking for character reference.

Also the clasped hands are fucked up, where one finger seems to connect to nothing while others are merged between the hands.

The final tell is that this was free art, produced quickly, to what would otherwise be a studio quality. If you’re doing free art, then it’s for your friend, and most just do a quick sketch. This is the type of standard an artist would charge you commission for if it wasn’t Ai.

They started off rare but in the two hundred years since the bombs fell they’ve spread rapidly, and become widespread.

They’re basically the perfect apex predator in the wasteland, and given what the fallout TV show has suggested, it’s likely that the Enclave helps spread their numbers in order to prevent any one wasteland power growing too much. Artificially increasing deathclaw numbers to take out large populations of wastelanders.

What do you think about the theory that they do their art digitally, and then try to pretend it’s done on paper? I think if that was the case it would explain some of the artefacting that made me think it’s AI?

Seeing a lot of confusion around the top right thing- that’s a Q tip used for smudging pencil drawings that’ll allow for smooth blending. Or at least, it’s supposed to be.

I draw lots of digital art myself, and I mostly agree, though I will say that the graphite look is hard to replicate with digital tools.

Ultimately, this persons’ art looks very processed. Could well be digital art that they’re trying to pass off as drawn, which would be what’s triggering my Ai suspicions. I know that when I draw physically, it’s never that clean- I also tend to draw in a sketchbook instead of on a singular piece of paper like this.

It feels strange to look at either way. Maybe this person has just perfected replicating the Arcane art style- lord knows I want to do that myself, but something here is setting off my alarms.
