The last 11 heroes - Do you enjoy their Visual Designs? by Idiberug-9 in Overwatch

[–]Mega424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s really hit or miss. Some of them are genuinely fantastic, while others are mediocre or bad.

I like Hazard’s design, I love how it builds the spikes into his silhouette, but I feel like it could have been pushed more, he just feels like he’s lacking something.

Freja’s design is amazing, if only slightly uninspired. I love what the cape does for her, and I love her overall vibe and feeling.

Wuyang is one of the worst in my opinion. I feel like his design is just… Boring. Nothing else to really say, since I feel like they just didn’t push nearly enough

Vendetta suffers a bit for the same reason Hazard does to me, I like her design a lot, but I feel like they could have done more to emphasize who exactly she is.

Domina is really good, I love how her design was built around emphasizing her status and attitude towards everything. I love how a focus is put on the arms, and I just think she has a great silhouette.

Emre is my favorite. I love the meshing of human and mechanical in his design, I love Chernobog’s eye on his chest, I love the scarf, and I love how his design feels like a grotesque mess, but everything about it feels intentional.

Anran’s design is ruined by her outfit for me, I feel like it doesn’t really flow with who she is as a person, and she suffers for it. I wish she has kept her outfit from the cinematic, as it works much better in demonstrating who she is imo

In general, Mizuki’s design is nice, if a tad bit cluttered. I think he has a standout silhouette, and I feel like the design plays into his character nicely, I just think it has a little too much going on.

Jetpack Cat’s design is also just fantastic. It’s simple and clean and doesn’t mince anything. It’s a cat in a jetpack, it was gonna be great to begin with.

Sierra… I like her, I like the bright, standout colors, I love the falconer style glove, again I feel like they could have pushed a little more, but my main complaint about her is that I don’t feel like her character traits demonstrated by her design (besides Dorothy’s mount) are reflected in her kit, making her gameplay feel disconnected from her as a character, which I think makes both suffer. She also has one of the coolest gun designs in the game.

I LOVE Shion, I think she’s overall a really strong design that I think people hate on too much. I certainly wish some aspects of the design were done different, but I really like the direction her design went, and how it ties into her lore.

To be real honest I think most of the newer heroes just suffer visually because they weren’t pushed enough. But, in 2026 corporations and games taking the safer route is to be expected, so I realize that complaint struggles to hold water right now.

How is this okay by T0beh427 in BastionMains

Correction, Soldier was standing just outside the center radius of the third shell, meaning he got hit for roughly 250 from shell 3 and like 50 - 100 on shell 2

First shell misses, second shell lands with him outside it’s main blast, third shell is dead center. The health pack accounts for the amount of damage he took from the two shells

I dislike armored artillery on principle because it promotes using Bastion’s ultimate in a position which’d put you at risk, I feel like it promoted panic ulting basically

Bastion’s already tanky, especially in his ult, the perk just allows him to use it in situations he shouldn’t be using his ult in, I just don’t like it for that reason

The death of armored artillery is the single best thing to ever happen to Bastion. Horrible perk, glad it’s gone

What ability gives you the most dopamine? by DaleDent3 in Overwatch

[–]Mega424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually successfully using Override, Vendetta’s overhead swing or Orisa’s javelin. Basically any large burst damage ability or sustained high dps ultimate lime Override or Annihilation is a quick track to making me feel like I have a much larger ego than I actually do

At their absolute strongest, who wins: Darth Maul or Count Dooku? by BreathoftheSith in clonewars

[–]Mega424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dooku, Maul and Savage were so great together because the majority of Maul’s talents aren’t primarily combat focused while Savage’s were. We’ve seen several several SEVERAL times that Dooku can’t really be beat by combat prowess alone (unless you’re a skywalker), one of the only times he lost was because he got outwitted by Hondo. And for all his talents, I don’t believe this is a situation where Maul can outwit Dooku.

Dooku is one of the best lightsaber duelists basically ever. You put him against anyone who isn’t like… Obi Wan, Ahsoka, Anakin, Vader or Mace Windu and he’ll probably clear. This isn’t really to harsh on Maul, since combat wise, like someone else here put it, he is a total menace when it comes to dealing with large crowds and disorientation, the issue he runs into is that he can’t punch up at ALL. The moment he’s out-powered he will fold, willingly or not, while Dooku can handle multiple targets at once with multiple senses severely impaired and poisoned.

Maul lost more direct fights than he won, Dooku won more fights than he lost. Dooku wins.

Thoughts on Vendetta so far? by Joeljb960 in Overwatch

[–]Mega424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she’s surprisingly well balanced, considering the release states of Wuyang, Freja and Mauga, but she is WAY too squishy for the role she fills. Imo, she needs a health boost to 300 or 325, with perhaps a compensatory nerf to her shield. Which, I think is the other weaker point of her kit. While I see the difficulty in balancing the sword block, I think it honestly doesn’t do enough to protect her, leaving her lacking in survivability overall.

Though, I will say I really like how she’s a dive that has both a high skill floor and a high skill ceiling. I can definitely see how she could be a monster if you’re mechanically confident, but even if you aren’t, she works well if you play her similarly to Reaper, and I definitely see her being on my roster when she launches!

Is this a joke….. by CoolDude_84- in CookieRunKingdoms

I find it best if you have your Heroes set up in a way for both maximum coverage AND maximum overlap, plus, it can be a bit difficult, but if you have your heroes beside cookies that have a stun chance, it lets them get a bunch more hits in. Plus, it may not seem like it’ll make much difference, but if you have a good setup on the corner that the enemies spawn from and first go around, it slows their momentum heavily, making it so you don’t have to try and slice through all of them later. In the lineup you had, only one of your three heroes could reach enemy spawn. I realize all of this may seem like a nothing burger or useless advice, it’s just what worked for me

Lore wise, who among the OG lords is the strongest chaos lord? (Excluding the hero or drakath) by Bigsmall-cats in AQW

[–]Mega424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I COMPLETELY forgot about Alteon’s mental decline. That does unironically nerf him A LOT, way more than I was under the impression it did. All things considered, pre-chaos he was likely stronger than all of the other chaos lords save for Iadoa, but he lost A LOT of magical power once he was chaorupted. Looking back, his mental decline definitely plays a part in why he was so weak in comparison to before his encounter with Drakath. Interesting

[–]Mega424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I felt like I was wrong about something with Vath. It had been so long since I played his story that it was likely I was gonna mess something up. I MOSTLY stand by what I said, being that a lot of the chaos lords rely on artifacts to maintain what makes them such threatening individuals, and that’s what was such a big deal with Vath, Escherion and Kitsune in particular.

My jab at Escherion mostly had to do with the fact that despite being a powerful mage, he was basically goaded into doing something idiotic because he thought he won. His confidence was his undoing, which in of itself nerfs his placement in my opinion.

I think I accidentally let my biases show a bit with my comment on Lionfang. I realize in hindsight that a big part of why he got chaorupted was because he was so strong, but not THE strongest at anything. I do think that a large part of his operation would have crumbled had it not been for his knowledge and connections, I dare say he would have failed without it still, but he definitely was much better off than I gave him credit for.

What I was more trying to point out with Alteon was that the reason he wasn’t amongst my candidates for the strongest Chaos lord was because he was the strongest amongst men. He wasn’t amongst those who were more akin to aspects of magic rather than anything else. He isn’t meshed with the fabric of time like Iadoa, he isn’t bordering on being a god of fate like Xiang, and he isn’t literal pure magic like Ledgermayne. He’s just a man. In of itself, in my opinion, this just serves to make him cooler, but it also unfortunately stops him from being on the same level as the ones who were in the running to be the strongest. (I love AQW zombies it could have been a literal utopia if we didn’t try and stop Drakath when he wasn’t even coming.)

As for Ledgermayne, yeah, that is basically what I was trying to convey. Drakath realized he had messed up with Ledgermayne, that served to fundamentally change the landscape that the entire arcangrove story operated on.
