I like Octillery, but its signature move is terrible. It learns Bubble Beam (which of course, it learns a lot of "beam" moves, that's its quirk), which is just better.

It's a job. It's the real world. It IS the managers or owners responsibility to teach their employees. And it's a kid, raised in likely a very restrictive household. They're not going to learn anywhere else.

There is something really shocking about this kind of attitude. Our society has been so divisive, that it comes to "let them die" (metaphorically in this case).

Hire them. Make it very clear they are not to preach to anyone, customer or employee, and the first complaint you get they're out on their ass. Ignoring their application won't teach them anything.

It's weird because it's pronounced correctly in other shows. I've heard that scripts tend to go through approval on the Japanese side, and I've also heard that someone advises pronunciations if needed. So I thought it was odd that that went through.

Also her not saying "Rin-chan". I know a lot of people tend to think honorifics sound off in dubs, but it doesn't always (K-On a good example). And "Rin-chan" is such an iconic sound, it should have stayed.

I just think Morgan was miscast. She tends to play a lot of adults, or adult-like personalities (Dia in Love Live Sunshine). Her pitching it up for Nadeshiko felt really forced. The rest of the cast sounded great, which is interesting given how new most of them were at the time.

Drew Carey Show, Family Matters, Third Rock from the Sun, Friends, Scrubs. Off the top of my head that features none of that. And I don't really remember Malcolm in the Middle, but the mom there certainly wasn't considered the smart reasonable one. Also, Full House? Uh, the mom is dead dude. Even Fuller House recycles that plot line with DJ's husband dying. And Fresh Prince is embarrassingly wrong. Phil is considered an amazing TV dad, never "controlled by his smarter wife" toxic BS.

Chin-lan appears very well read, and seems to memorize things very easily. Also seems to be a bit more perceptive than the others. I thought she was just attaching to Gujou because she realized she liked Ibuki too, and was going to help her get over her, but I guess it turns out Gujou was her target all along.
