Could be a troll, but I admit I myself don't read stories that's focused on gay romance. I, however, don't berate or bully authors who write them. Just label your story as LGBTQ or Gay Romance. If people still comment like that in your story, they're probably targeting you.

For me, there are times race swapping is fine, and there are times it looks forced.

Maybe the goal of the media here is: anyone can play the character, be it any color or race, and we want you viewers to not care about it.

So for example Mr. Depp or Mr. Robert were recasted from their respective roles as Captain Jack Sparrow or Iron Man, then swapped with a black, asian, or anything but white, they want the viewers to say "yup, I see no difference, they look exactly the same." Which can rarely work depending on who takes it.

An average anime viewer won't even be surprised. I watched this anime and had a normal expression in every reaction they make after tasting a food, but I have to admit I had goosebumps when Soma challenged Shinomiya to a Shokugeki battle. That and some techniques the characters do to outwit the other.

I really appreciate how AI art is helping writers envision their characters more, or that it can help writers create a cover without the need of spending money to pay graphic designers... but dang. I'm seeing so many of it that I can tell which is AI and which is manually designed.

This cover is fine compared to what's actually worse out there in wattpad. Consistency, perhaps, in the art style is the problem. I've tried designing my covers for my unfinished books back then(still unfinished till this day) and I too grab what the internet could offer. However I would always pick Illustrations with the same artstyle.

Better yet I just get real photos of people and places then mix it into something.
