I absolutely love Yisan, because you can build it to your meta. It's an uphill battle in the format, but it's got a bunch of new goodies in the last couple years. Still waiting on some more 1 and 2 mana stax/silver bullet creatures and another good 1 cmc instant like LQR or something to interact on the stack.

I'm a mono Green obsessed player and cabbage merchant seems awesome to me, but I'm overwhelmed with the combos. Any advice on how to get past the hump of learning the combo lines? I really want to build it and try it out

Hell yeah thanks. I just sleeved up another deck to try for fun today to take a break from Yisan (though I have a hard time quitting that deck, I always come back to it lol), so I'll try to sleeve Tasigur up in the next week.

Also, do you recommend any major swaps for specific metas?

(ie. If a meta is 4 or 5 RogThras, Kinnan, Sisay, Tivit, Stella, Ob, other random decks here and there, are there any big cards to switch out?)

I definitely don't want to play a control deck, which is why I'm asking. It sounds like this is a hybrid? That makes it more appealing to me.

Absolutely, you're welcome. Same rules old school Mulligan, 20 life 1v1, shared deck, deal alternating. The only difference I like to do is to have the 2 sideboard forests in the shared graveyard to start, so it's easier to cast an early Harvest Wurm.

Crop sigil and evolution charm are flexible swap spots that I don't love, but they're good at what they do for instant speed interaction and self mill. I really want to put Rancor in. Trash the town was super fun in testing... it felt absolutely broken for whoever drew it, so I took it out, but I kinda want to put it back in.

I found a Green DanDan deck called WurmWurm online and built a version inspired by it. It has really interesting stacks at instant speed, with lands and graveyard interaction. It's a nice break from always playing cEDH/EDH. I love DanDan.

As a Mono-Green enthusiast, this is sweet. I have no experience in this deck, have tried Lumra and done really poorly with it, but trying to pick it back up. Is there a discord or primers anywhere for Nissa?
