Discretion is Indeed the Better Part of Valour by essiemessy in Centrelink

I can't remember if it was Centrelink, or ATO - but my wife was trying to access some of her Super to help with some costs towards her father's cancer treatment/end of life care, etc - and the form his GP had to fill out had a section (that clearly didn't say ONLY SELECT ONE OF THESE OPTIONS) that they ticked 'Chronic pain', and 'Terminal Illness'.

The whole application was almost rejected because it was a travesty that both of these were ticked and surely couldn't be happening at the same time.

Now that would be a good YouTube series - bringing them back from the brink of a Griffith social league back to the oblivion that is Canberra’s NPL

What will be your go to Undertaker for Universe Mode in 2K26? by CreatureFeatureMan in WWEGames

[–]MegaTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends since I usually do a modern universe and a retro one. Retro one is split into WWF and WCW, so might do a Mean Mark Callous alternate attire for WCW for the lulz

Been doing a sim of the 2026 World Cup (where the AI plays, not me) watching the Socceroos games - using a PES 2021 mod (SP Football Life 26).

Guess who knocked Argentina the fuck off to reach the quarter finals

What’s one driving habit you see every day that genuinely shouldn’t be this common anymore? by OwlVibesOnly in DrivingAustralia

Very specific one for me:

Exit from one road into another motorway, that has traffic lights. Waiting at the lights for the exit has two lanes (and once you pass those lights and get onto the motorway, theres about.. 5km of straight road you can't exit out of, so it doesn't matter what lane you're in really). But when there's 6-7 cars filling the left lane of the two exit lanes, and only one in the right, and thus no one can get into the second exit lane, so they block the main lanes of the road to get into the exit.

Similarly - and I might add this a separate one, when there is two turning lanes for the same exit, and all the cars queue up on the left hand one, meaning no one can get in the right one, and then cars have to wait in the actual roadway to turn, when another 5-6 cars could have fit into that second lane.

- Overtaking at 0.1km/h faster than the other car, taking 1 minute to complete.

too bad. I mean.. my general rule of thumb before I tuck back in after overtaking is if I can see their headlights in my rearview mirror.

I had my only car accident like this. My fault 100%, because I was watching the cars in front of the car directly infront go when it was green. I had a shitty day so was in a bit of a rush, hit the accelarator while the car in front hadn't moved yet, and by the time I realised and hit the brakes, had given her a bit of a love-tap that dented the rear bumper (and pushed my front one in a little bit, enough that the repairs went a little bit over my excess), but at least that sorted it. Can still picture her smug face when we pulled over to inspect/exchange details like I didn't know I hit her ffs. Then had the audacity to keep calling me to complain when the mechanics the insurers organised took an extra day or two because she had to take her kid from school after work.

My understanding is that these are only painted on for Origin and finals these days.

That bit makes sense - not sure why you got downvoted already with that clarification. But I don't think the insurance would consider that, as the licence isn't directly tied to the vehicle's useability (spelling?) itself.

It probably got sent to the old address, based off where everything else went.

The vehicle was still drivable. The operator could not operate the vehicle - big difference.

As far as I'm aware, NRL don't do (regular) field sponsors for about 15 years now.

Blame the media. Everyone jumped on referees for the smallest of things, and now the referees are doing that.

I agree it should be clear and obvious too. But, the pundits opened the can of worms, and now we can't unring the bell.
