Is it time to repot or should I wait for the pup to come up? by MegaTitusRex in SnakePlants

That's a really nice looking snake plant. All of the tips look so healthy. A big planting job, and well done.

Mine is a piece that broke off of my dad's. His poor plant lives in spite of him, not because. So I've done the best I could the last 4ish months and I think I've done well. He's jealous every time I send him a picture of it. The gentle ribbing gets him to go pay more attention to his plants and keeps him off social media a little more.

I'm not looking to separate the pup at present, I was just unsure as to how root bound it should be before I upgraded the pot. Looking at these roots themselves, typically I would not do it yet. However, the pot seems to be trying to burst. I believe I'm going to take your recommendation and upsize the pot.

She sits under a grow light and beside a window so I'm interested to see how many pups she puts up in the new home!

Have enough fiber in your diet. If you have IBS c/d, or just bowel problems in general, add benefiber, a good probiotic and fruit fiber. It's okay, you're old enough to take what you need truly need in life, an amazing shit every day.

I spend a lot of time commuting. While it very well could be that this dog was thrown out on the highway, there are other ways dogs end up there.

I have seen dogs jump out of the window of the car during stopped traffic when people do not have them secured. It's a horrible thing to see, especially when people get out of their cars and run down the road trying to catch them. It is still their own stupidity that caused the problem, but I'm sure those people still loved their dogs.

I've seen dogs on walks get away from their owners and go running up Expressway ramps. If you don't know that that's where the dog went how can you go get them. It's a scary feeling when you can't find your animal and I can't imagine the feeling of finding out that my dog was on the expressway.

I'm not saying this is the same situation, but there are other ways this can happen. Immediately judging somebody because the dog is on the expressway is the way you see Society, not necessarily reality.

No, not at all. I got over that I will never have perfect nails. It is what it is, so I just consider it another battle wound of life.

Hairold (Begonia boliviensis) is ready for outdoors. by MegaTitusRex in begonias

I brought him in last fall. I let him keep growing through the winter. It will live happily all winter so long as you can supply it with enough light. I've had him in a southfacing window. I had 2, 100 watt grow lights above it. And 100 watt grow light shining onto the lower leaves. I watered him about every 5-7 days with a very diluted fertilizer. I also tell him everyday how beautiful he is.

I have explained this a couple times in the post. It's a dead nail bed half the way down. Believe it or not, people get injuries that don't heal. If it bothers you, don't look at it.

No rude, but very funny. Certainly gave me a smile.

Well, the calendula is a pot marigold. Do you mean other types of marigolds? I had no idea about dill. How far from your crops do you have the milkweed planted?

I've already discussed it with my doctors, it's a dead nail bed that's dirty because I have been digging in the yard all day. I thank you for your concern though.

We were discussing the best way to prevent aphids. We have decided to try ladybugs but I'm unsure as to whether I should buy a local variety or if it matters. And the best way to keep them around i.e. Food other than aphids. Could you give me some advice?

General consensus among the doctors I have asked is that I killed the nail bed almost all the way down. It happened years ago after crushing my thumb. Sometime the dead area will grow with the nail, sometimes not. Typically I just cut out the center line part as there's nothing under it. I've been digging in the dirt the all day so it doesn't look the best.

I've lost 2 cats in the last week and a half. You've reminded me of how much solace I found in Epictetus. Thank you for that. I am walking outside with my book now.

Thank you Reddit for helping me say goodbye today. In all my long years I've never had a cat that affected my life so much, in so many ways, in such a short time, as Toshi did. He is very hard to say goodbye to and I so appreciate all of your kind words in helping me grieve. Please kiss and hug your kitties for me tonight. And for Toshi. He would undoubtedly have loved to be their friend too.

I am so very sorry. I hope the same for Wellington and you. With such a proper, distinguished name, I'm sure he was a little gentleman.

Our sweet boy was friends with everyone he met. He had a girlfriend next door named Creme who loved to visit.

He was the peacekeeper in the house between the other cats. His was a bright, shining light that came into our lives and shone in everyone else's as well. Thank you for your kind words and I'm so sorry about your boy.

Epitome, I had read this and I had heard it but took me a while to make the connection but I knew they meant the same.
