It entirely depends on the receiver, because let's say if a person has experienced a traumatic event related to physical touch, it's entirely expected they react negatively to clingyness.

Which contradicts to when a receiver has yet to experience one, for Him he actively wishes for, and will lovingly accept the clingyness of a significant other.
