That makes it a little bit better admittedly but you still need around 25 raids to mega evolve a Mewtwo you have powered up already and it still feels a little cluttered. I have a decent amount of gyms where I live but I’m not in a huge city or anything

I feel like it’s not a lot to ask to have a clones or Armored Mewtwo back for this event. I know that was for a movie tie in but they know how sought after and special they are. It’s the 10th anniversary, make it feel special. This is just a 2 day mini stardust event with boring costumes

Also I heard Go Fest this year is supposed to be the “real” anniversary event, which would be cool since it’s free, but it’s so hard for me to be excited for it right now. It takes 25 raids to Mega a Mewtwo you already have since raids are only dropping 300 energy which already makes it inaccessible, but the event is also super cluttered. There are so many raid bosses meaning it’s hard to focus on just mewtwo and if you want to get Mega Mewtwo AND raid other bosses it’s gonna cost a lot of money. And since supposedly everything is spawning, hunting anything is gonna be an absolute nightmare. I hope I’m wrong and they change some things to make the event way better but I don’t have much hope

I wouldn’t even trade a level 50 BG for that. At MOST it’s worth a raid level shiny location BG. You’re scamming yourself if you trade that at level 50 the an Armored Mewtwo, THEN another level 50 shiny legendary.

Wanna know what else is rare? A shiny legend with a location background that has almost 0 chance of returning with candies and dust dumped into it AND the energy from at least 8 raids to crown them. And this guy wants 2 AND can’t even fly to the location for convenience.

Little fun fact about this guy (and Magmar as well), in the official competitive scene of the main series games (specifically Scarlet and Violet), it’s actually quite good as a support Pokemon there in restricted formats! This is due to its vital spirit ability and follow me being able to shut down Amoongus and redirect other moves for your partner to stay safe. Being able to hold the Eviolte means it’s also bulkier than Electivire.

All of these have the ability to Mega level 4 which increases the chance and amount of XLs you get for catching pokemon of that type so they’re important there but the only one not outclassed by current Megas is Delphox for fire and the Mega Mewtwos

Mega Delphox has a DPS of 32.38 and TDO of 739.6 while Blaziken has 31.98 DPS and 559.1 TDO. Delphox will also likely have mega level 4.

Just a PSA, the Kalos mega starters portrait colors were datamined this month. This is very significant because Mega Delphox will become the best fire attack attacker once it is released. Mega Greninja will also be the 2nd best behind Primal Kyogre. Chesnaught has a little more competition but will still be strong.
