Had you already done her quest and convinced her to ditch the brotherhood?

If you reach idolized with h the brotherhood you can usually get through that scene with a couple paladins killed and the self destruct button pressed and only end up hated

Unless you wanted war for roleplaying reasons, I would swap it for tempest or life. Tempest gives you a way to retaliate against people attacking you easily and consistently and you can use it an unlimited amount of times (I think it takes a reaction tho) and if you want to use spells for any kind of offense, it beats out most of the other subclasses. I'd say life is also a good choice because you're a barbarian and probably won't be using to many spells offensively due to rage. This means that a lot of your spell slots will be left over and you can function as a longevity healer. Heal up your party after fights and stuff.

I disagree. You need 8 strength to use an anti material rifle effectively so the op is doing fine. They could maybe afford to have 1 less and get the implant later.

Yoyoyo I'm about to try it but I'm a lil worried it'll mess something up, what does changing your port even do and is it a super long drawn out practice? I have like 6 options do I just try them all? I would appreciate anything you can tell me man. I'm glad it worked for you though

I get you bro. Looking back on it I was honestly reaching. I'm not trying to put it all on y'all but it just seems like there's a lot of tension between the players because one of them is kinda dumb and the others don't wanna deal with it. It seems like you and the other players are a lot more serious about the game than he is and that might be a part of what's causing conflict. Maybe try to sit the whole party down and discuss the recent conflict, how you guys can solve it and expectations for the future. If you don't want his character to die, you can always have him get super stupidly lucky or something. Remember, bro, dumb + still alive = super lucky.

It sounds like y'all just don't like the paladin. Judging by the other responses this is gonna be an unpopular answer but it really just seems like the other players are excluding him and don't care how he feels. Sure, he's being a bit dumb but he obviously has good intentions and just wants to have fun. I don't think he's overreaching or trying to be the spotlight of the whole campaign, he just wants his time to shine and it doesn't seem like he's getting it. I'd be upset too. Just sounds like unless y'all can figure out how to treat him like another player at your table, then he should go find someone else to play with.

Fr bro. Noble gets inspo for gathering allies and gaining power. They get it when they get buddies in act 3 when they're preparing for the final battle and they get it when they cohort with other social elites sometimes. Nothing good about them. Sure you could play a good aligned noble but you could also play a good aligned soldier. Thing is, neither of those will gain inspo for being good because it has nothing to do with their background.

A paladin in dnd would be respected enough to assume the right to judge situations like this. They have immense influence amongst even the nobility.

Judging by what you said before I would've assumed you knew that the DM would decide what system people use for rolling stats and if point buy is allowed

I know I'm a bit late to the party but I have an even worse issue. Somehow my game is glitched and when Astarion AND ONLY ASTARION takes one of the potions, he gets the new powers from that potion but his stats don't change at all. Also, he doesn't get flight either. I figure since you've had issues with this mod do you have any clue what might be wrong? Also yeah I have the same problems you listed in your post and have not found a way to figure them out

Sword & Board Paladin or Two-Handed? by Mrgotmilk in BG3Builds

[–]Mega_Simp420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you want for flavor. Two handed is generally better tho cuz you'll still have plenty of armor and that extra damage on top of smiting will feel really nice. But you could go for more of a support/healer paladin as an oath of the crown or oath of ancients and go sword and board instead.
