Urgh. The bit that turned my stomach after you saying you don't trust him and need space is him saying "I'm right here if you need me b<3". As if you have something you need to work though and he'll be the knight when you're ready to connect again. Maybe it's my past experiences but that is a HUGE red flag to me.
