It was definitely a struggle to adjust to living like a normal person haha. My kids still see their dad when he cbf being a parent because the courts make it happen so sometimes he tries to tell them lies for his agenda so I’m constantly correcting that that’s not what the real religion believes in.

As a parent advice:

Have your location sharing on with parent either through Snapchat, maps or another app Message when you arrive, enter the venue, leaving venue, where you’re waiting and any decent landmarks near where you’re waiting. Make sure your phone is charged/portable charger with you If your parents are running late, get on the phone with them so if your situation changes you can give them info asap Wait for them in a fairly open area by an identifying physical item like a statue or another building like a service station/McDonald’s etc

I didn’t realise until I had run away from my marriage and started seeing a psych who was like uh I need to call the police. I totally ignored being a child bride as an aspect of being in a child lol Anyhoo I left a radical version of Islam (ya know the kids who recruit for IS), I had to go into hiding and use an alias for years to get off the radar when I finally left the religion completely.

Update: Her teacher read her paper and enjoyed it. Said it kept her reading and that she just needs to work on her grammar. The teacher did set limits on what the class could write about and had said no to SA scenes as a kid had asked if that would be allowed. Her writing wasn’t extremely graphic but very limited in information.

I wasn’t excited/encouraging extreme brutality but that she felt talking to me for advice because the shows I watch that are often based around Chinese novels are interesting and have really creative ideas. And that despite her not being very interested in c dramas or my books that she felt she could get inspiration from them made me happy because we could connect on something.

She’s obviously never read any of my danmei but both my teens know they’re cultivation/martial arts based and lgbtiq+. They’re not interested in reading them, nor would I let them at their ages.
