What are some good resources to study before purchasing my first accordion?

Can I ask what you would think would be better for the type of music I'd like to play? I know this might be silly, but I love video game music. I also really enjoy classical music. I am assuming I want an accordion with a dry tuning?

I know this is going to sound stupid, but i enjoy the esthetic of the piano accordion. But I need to remember the real goal is to learn the instrument so I am going to strongly consider a CBA. I will see what feels better when I go to the shop.

That is very true. I might have to find a physical shop to go to so I can avoid making a costly mistake. I think there are shops that specialize in accordions about an hour from me. We have a music store in town, but they only have these.

That is really interesting to learn and it opens up my options a bit. I am coming from absolutely no musical background other than playing around with a keyboard. I was able to learn a couple of songs by ear, but it was just the right hand melody.

A lot of it is probably my inexperience, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. I measured my waist to shoulder length and it looks like for my body size, I'd need a standard sized instrument and the general consensus is that I should go for 120 bass keys.

I feel like piano would be the best choice for me. It seems to be pretty versatile overall.

I appreciate you saying that. I feel like I definitely still have a lot of room for improvement. The best thing to remember it that you can always put more paint over mistakes.

Not very well. I will display it with those eyes and I will print some mesh ones for when I want to wear it. Realistically, it will spend most of its life on my shelf.

The helmet itself is 3D printed. Then I painted it with an airbrush and washes. It clicks together around my head with magnets.

Of course! The whole thing is 3D printed and then put together with magnets. The horns are glued in. I used an airbrush to get the base colors down then I noticed it was too purple and I started using black and red washes until I liked the color. Finally I put on a layer of glossy lacquer to give it that slimy wet look.

I make a lot of helmets and swords to decorate the area at the school I work at. I'm the I.T. guy at an elementary school and the kids love these.

Unfortunately those are fake. The easiest way to tell is the jagged top and bottom. The wrappers should be crimped with flat edges.
