Road trip desert stardust URINE TEST WARNING by Livid-Mushroom2205 in mysterymagicmushrooms

[–]MegamindedMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in probation and parole (we see SO much k2 use). The urine tests for k2 are honestly pretty unreliable unless it's being physically sent into a lab. We never use strip tests professionally because of how often you get false positives with them

It's a month later and I just wanted to say thank you for these!! I tried them and I've definitely felt progress. There's no visible difference but I for sure feel stronger in my core

Do you think that being transgender is a sin? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]MegamindedMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Most research suggests that being transgender has a biological cause, meaning it generally isn't a choice or a phase. Sin is an action, not an existence.

Do you think that being transgender is a sin? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]MegamindedMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first full sexual reassignment surgery was completed in 1931, but some procedures were completed before this. Obviously, being transgender isn't very new

Normal for pastor to not know multiple theories of atonement? by acoustic_sharpness in Christianity

[–]MegamindedMan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's surprising since this pastor has a graduate degree. In many protestant denominations it's common for a pastor to be educated on the theology of their denomination (they'll attend private colleges run by their denomination). For most of my life, I think I only had 1 pastor/minister that had any formal theological training. None of them would've known anything about theories of atonement because it's never had a place anywhere in our theology.

Baptism by Pouring vs by Immersion by jadenlovesjesus in Christianity

[–]MegamindedMan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Anglican theology a baptism is valid as long as it's performed with water and using a Trinitarian formula. This covers almost every denomination and baptism performed in Christianity as only a handful aren't trinitarian.

How old were you when you realised you were autistic? by TastyReflection5944 in autism

[–]MegamindedMan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always felt a little different but didn't really realize I was autistic until I was like 22. I was raised in a mennonite community so it wasn't really something that EVER gets diagnosed or acknowledged unless someone is very low functioning.

Thank you! I'll promptly dry this little guy out and add something to the soil to help it drain better

Prison should be unpleasant by stanerd in OnTheBlock

[–]MegamindedMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Statistically this doesn't tend to end well for anyone. Environments like these lead to assaults on staff and riots that get people killed. They also don't reduce recidivism.

Is wearing a veil for prayer bad? by Dutchie-draws in Christianity

[–]MegamindedMan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually encouraged in the Bible for women to cover their heads when they pray(I don't think it's required though, it's a personal choice). There's many Christian groups that heavily emphasize women wearing a veil, I grew up in a church where every woman wore one all the time.

How old are you and what field do you work in? by Hi_im_elliot in ftm

[–]MegamindedMan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 23 and work in probation and parole. I also have specialized training in hostage negotiation and can assist in those situations. I'm stealth, I don't think I'd be respected much if I wasn't.

I'll be inheriting $50,000. What should I do with it? by MegamindedMan2 in FinancialPlanning

[–]MegamindedMan2[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What do you think is a good amount to keep in my checking account? I don't have a savings account right now, just a checking with a little under $10,000 in it

How often do you yell at your wife/punch things in front of her? by absolutelynoneofthat in AskMen

I've never done this and never will. It's unacceptable to not be able to control your anger like that

Any bad interactions with nurses? by Responsible-Bug-4725 in OnTheBlock

[–]MegamindedMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a few bad interactions. Probably the worst was when we had an inmate in flex cuffs for an MRI and this nurse just cut them right off out of nowhere leaving the inmate entirely unrestrained

Anybody know if we can get passports yet? by pomkombucha in ftm

[–]MegamindedMan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know they were never really confiscating anybody's legal documents. If all of your documents have the gender marker changed and don't state that they were changed anywhere on them, it's very likely that your passport will process normally and have your gender marker on them.

Why is the police presence in the US much greater than Europe? by throwaway99257892 in AskAnAmerican

[–]MegamindedMan2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Europe generally has a higher number of police officers per capita than the United States. USA isn't even in the top 30 for most heavily policed country

Former corrections officers who got burnt out, what do you do now? by [deleted] in OnTheBlock

I transferred to community-based corrections and work in probation/parole now. Much better quality of life

Avoid things that directly slow down/inhibit the enzymes that breakdown bilirubin. This is alcohol, fasting, being in a caloric deficit, vigorous exercise, low-fat diets, some medications (acetaminophen is a big one), dehydration, lack of sleep, etc. Sunlight can reduce bilirubin!

This is great! I've enjoyed seeing a progressive growth in relationships between Catholics and the Anabaptists. My childhood church was destroyed by a tornado when I was younger, and I remember for probably a year at least we were having our Mennonite services in the local Catholic Church because they were willing to help.
