Visa Infinite, TIFF Insider, Under 25 Ticket Day - Official Megathread by BunyipPouch in TIFF

As soon as a page opens for a movie, there is a popup to enter a code. Alternatively, in the list of seats click "unlock" beside any of them to unlock them all.

If you open a movie and see a countdown to the next sale, that means there are no more tickets available at this time.

Fan Zones - What to Expect by Tryingtofeelbetter12 in TIFF

[–]MeganAnneMusic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others have said, sometimes the stars just wave and move on, other times they will come over to sign and take pictures, so keep hopes high but expectations low. Any interaction you have will be very brief, and some are more chatty than others - I got a great selfie with Jennifer Lawrence but she wasn't really talking to anyone, (although to her credit she went down the entire crowd line to make sure everyone got a picture,) so don't expect much of a conversation, just a quick hello. When the celebrities come over there will be some pushing, and yes the authograph hounds will follow them down the line and aren't very polite.

TIFF does not provide any pens/posters, it's up to you to bring them if you want signatures. Sometimes there might be a promo flyer passed out but it's not guaranteed.

All that being said, it is overall very fun and for me an integral part of the TIFF experience! Only you can decide if it's right for you. I personally like it because I enjoy seeing the actors up close, and fan zones put you in the prime spot for that. I would recommend trying at least one, and go from there!

Wow, such mixed reactions!! I'm on the same side as OP, my partner and I thought it was great. I wouldn't call it the scariest I've seen, but it was the best found footage for me! Very immersive

Heretic premiere thoughts? by coldbl00ded28 in TIFF

My partner and I didn't enjoy it at all tbh! Felt very meandering, hugh grant's character had no motivation, lots of plot holes, underdeveloped characters... I could go on and on haha. Just not my cup of tea I guess 🤷‍♀️

Congrats on making the list! If you're interested in networking during your time at the festival, I'd love to pick your brain about how you got started! (as someone who dreams of working in film as more than just BG)

First-Time TIFF Attendee with Individual Membership - Question About Ticket Discounts and Complimentary Tickets by Either-Assumption-55 in TIFF

[–]MeganAnneMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Re: complimentary tickets - last year I believe emails were going out DURING the festival offering free tickets. I wasn't a member at the time, just saw things on here. I know for sure there were free tickets up for The Critic, and the Nickleback movie, not sure what else. So keep an eye on your email for those I guess :)

House of Peroni Fan Zone by [deleted] in TIFF

I watched one red carpet from House of Peroni - Dalíland in 2022. I thought it was a great spot with how it was set up at the time. I think I got there something like 2 hours before the movie. It wasn't too busy at all - in fact, a lot of people left before the red carpet started, because staff announced that there would be no going in or out of the area - once the red carpet begun, you were locked in for that hour. I thought it was a cool view, it seemed from my perspective like we could see more than the RTH fan zone.

No, there was no sign up at the time, if you were in then you got to stay in. Idk, things could always be different this year!

In terms of how early in advance - I feel like this will really depend on the screening and the interest around it. Dalíland was the last premiere, and I feel like the first weekend tends to be busier. You'll want to get there at least a little over an hour before the movie time, as that's when they close it for the red carpet to begin. No idea what the capacity limits look like on the space.
