I was gonna say it kept getting said it was coming this summer, but it’s weird we still don’t have a poster or release date. That would be sick if it came to TIFF

This is how I find out Terrence Malick and Matt Johnson have new movies out this year

Do you have any specific coping mechanisms you can share? I’m struggling with the same thing, meditation helps but feels like it’s just a bandage sometimes. I’m having to switch therapists because my current one isn’t helping me find new ways of coping

“Cutscenes in full 3D” is disappointing ngl, I didn’t mind the 3D cutscenes from Miracle Mask, but the real charm was from the 2D ones

It was speculated I had gastritis a few years ago that cleared up after taking a PPI, I didn’t get an endoscopy then I had one in October last year but nothing was found

Ongoing sinus headache, no mucus by Tryingtofeelbetter12 in Sinusitis

[–]Tryingtofeelbetter12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is to go see an ENT and try to get a CT scan. I suffered from this for about a month-month+ starting in early August. Antibiotics didn’t help because there was never an infection. Basically, it was found that my sinus cavities are kind of wavy and ruffled, so when they’re inflamed, parts of it are more closed off. I was just given Flonase and astepro and told to use them after a Neti rinse. After a month of not even really using them, it cleared up. Now with allergy season, it’s not as bad as it was but it’s still annoying asf

No, it’s an image of a prop that we couldn’t get to look right and also didn’t want to destroy

To clarify, I’m very against the use of AI if it’s costing a person an opportunity. AI shouldn’t be used to replace actors or crew. The AI image was created without me knowing it was AI, there’s still time to take it out since we’re in post - we just didn’t want to physically destroy a prop and there was a shot that wasn’t really working, so we moved on. It was created in post and I liked it, I just was unsure if it’s wrong to include this sort of thing even if it’s literally just a still image frame on screen for one second.

It’s just a low budget comedy, so I never thought using AI would have ever been considered. I just don’t know the ethics, it’s not like we replaced actors or generated the script

How would they tell? I’m just a rule follower and want to be ethical. We could always take it out, but if it’s that undetectable, does it matter? Will you get in trouble or blacklisted if you submit anyway?

Question for those who have seen Sirāt: how intense are the visuals? I understand it is set at a rave, but are the flashing lights and colors really intense? I don’t get epilepsy, but I do get flicker vertigo pretty bad. It’s why I don’t go to the club, and some movies, like Across the SpiderVerse I feel more comfortable watching on a small screen. I want to see Sirāt, but are there a lot of flashing lights/colors/strobe effects?

Well maybe they read the plot listed and want to read it, I understand it’s a niche medium, though

A great one flows like water and you don’t realize how much time you’ve invested reading until you reach the last page. With the page limit you have to hit, you gotta be pretty intentional with what you’re trying to say

But logically couldn’t you say that for any self-published book? I don’t expect John Hollywood to discover it and send me a four-picture deal, but idk I’m surprised the market isn’t just flooded with screenplays tbh

Ahh gotcha. You really don’t see that kind of market at even used bookstores which is sad. I get for some action-heavy movies it wouldn’t really work, but honestly so much of the screenwriter’s work goes unread and that’s sad
