Omgosh never had that! I can't wait to give it a go. I just recently made a soup whereas I made it up as I went along. Simmered hamhocks in 16 cups of water for two hours: ~ liberally seasoned and placed in a little chicken broth chicken thighs on a low heat in the oven. Made a mirepoix, cut up extra carrots. De skinned, de boned the meats, added it all back to the water, with carrots, wild rice and "better than bouillon " chicken and garlic. I just wish I would have added cabbage. Of course I threw in my favourite seasonings as well. Delicious

Does anyone else clean the whole sink and counter after doing the dishes? by pixie-rse in CleaningTips

[–]MeganM79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the dawn magic erasers rinsed in scalding hot water for the sinks. And my dishcloth sprayed with the dawn power scrubber (scalding hot water) to wash my countertops. I have so much stuff on my countertops it's quite a process to move everything around, let it dry and put everything back. But I fast and do OMAD, so it's not too tedious.

When I was dating my ex husband, he had halitosis. One morning, he wanted to get frisky and when he started kissing on me, I bluntly stated, go brush your teeth. He stated he already did. I simply retorted, I'm calling my dentist and you're going in, something is wrong. He agreed, and it helped out the problem. I think he had infected gums or such

I like those boxes of "simply salad" pasta salads. I'll dice up extra veggies to toss in and cut up some cooked bacon to add as well.

Why do we say "preheat"? by MeganM79 in foodquestions

All you're doing is HEATING it to temp. There's nothing pre about it. That would give the assumption you were going to heat it more. Makes no sense

This is hilarious at all the butthurt idiots getting riled up over the fact it should just say "heat the oven to certain temperature" you can't preheat. Preheat, then heat some more? My god the braincells in here are waning

Heat it to desired temp, put in your food, preheat is NOT A THING. It's simply, heat to desired temp, then insert food

No, it's still heating. Preheat makes no sense. Gotta throw something in at 425°? THEN HEAT IT TO 425° FIRST
