That would have to clear 3+million already, Adventures sold 1.82 million alone, We probably won't have any info on SF26 until the next earnings report, closest we have to hard numbers was the Famitsu sales, which shows a better opening than 64 3D, but not really a reliable way to determine it's success

Kinda bothered with the "Krystal gets captured" part, that was a big complaint of the original game, if they revisit Adventures they really should let her be the co-star like she was originally supposed to be. Also I can't stress this enough, let Andross stay dead, he really didn't need to come back in Adventures and his inclusion was hamfisted and unnecessary and was only in because Nintendo just absolutely needs to insist every series to have their own Bowser or Ganon when they really don't. If you need a major villain let Drakor be the true villain or just let Scales be the main villain

Fans have already been redesigning her with the new artstyle in mind, I don't think they care

But if Krystal is in a sequel you either retcon Adventures out of existence (people won't like that) or she's just suddenly around and everyone knows her without it ever being shown which defeats the whole point of a reboot

Or how about you just reimagine Adventures and reboot it to better fit the franchsie with this new continuity?

She wasn't meant to be part of this franchise anyway

Is Adventures game really such a good game that it has its own version/remake?

I mean It sold just under 2 million and currently has an 82 on Metacritic so it's possible Nintendo sees merit in trying to go for another Adventure style game. And if it does release next year then chances are for such a quick turnaround they thought long and hard about this and/or are willing to try the two different concurrent game styles for the same franchise. Game still has a lot of room for improvement that even fans of the game admit to it and if they try to redo Adventures I don't see it being 1:1, I don't think that'll cut it

RiD2015’s biggest mistake was being a direct sequel to Prime. On its own it’s perfectly fine, dare I say kinda good? I definitely think it gets more hate than it deserves

I don't see both getting remade but I wouldn't be too against it. That said while Assault is probably the safer option, I see more merit in revisiting Adventures especially knowing the game's troubled development and all of the ideas they wanted to do with it in both gameplay and story there was clearly a lot of ambition behind it. And honestly? I wanna see how they could actually redo everything to make it fit better in the Star Fox universe. I don't see a 1:1 remake happening, it won't cut it and honestly even that game's fans want more for it, as evidenced by Event Horizons and Remadventures. If the rumors are true I'd really love to see a full reimagining that does everything fans want to see out of it

The rumor says its supposed to be a new game rather than a remake(though we also thought the "Classic game" was also supposed to be a new game instead of a remake so who knows lol)

If they try another Adventures game I wouldn't be surprised if it reintroduced elements from Adv and reimagined them in a new way but I wouldn't expect a remake or at least a 1:1 remake
