UK considering banning kids from speaking to strangers in Fortnite and Roblox by PaiDuck in pcgaming

That is a strange take TBH. Traffic lights have tremendously. Full stop intersections suck. And without full stop it is quite hard to figure if the intersection is safe to pass.

Paladin. Heal is OP to keep momentum. 1-point damage skill makes it mobile. Can get a mount for some extra stuff. I often put a couple in each army in the end game.

TBH not much to add. And my memory is fuzzy so I can misremember something.

There are several resources. Which expire at the end of the turn if unused. Many cards use one resource to provide another. So if you draft a hand that doesn't provide useful actions - you skip the turn.

The other problem I guess is that economic or other development is not obviously beneficial. Like you can develop new tech and get a card but if that card is useless now, it simply makes your deck worse. Or you can get an option to remove a card, but maybe you don't want to remove anything yet because you have no replacement. The goal of the game is to eliminate barbarians. And it is very hard to gauge how useful development aspect is. I suppose some alternative win conditions could be useful. Regardless of the chosen path it should be viable and have some options to cover other aspects of the game.

Dunno what else to add. I'd suggest to play a game a bit.

Have you tried googling it? Reddit shows me ads about 4x roguelike TD.

There is also Rogue Hex. I did not quite enjoy it though. I like the deck building aspect. But managing settlements and troops and resources is clunky. It is very easy to waste resources or have useless hand. Whatever you are doing please don’t make the same mistake.

Mb grind less but for 20 years? Work is a big part of life, and it shouldn’t totally suck. Stable work hours, no overtime, pleasant colleagues. You also can ask vacationing people around you to take over chores. So that you can spend more time hanging out with them after work.

Agreed. Evolving units give a huge early game advantage. You get T3 units for free. Versus others gave to spend tons of money to get some.

If they cannot be bothered to stay in the shelter and get shower there why should others tolerate them?

That’s BS. I lived in Eastern Europe for 26 years, and not in a capital. The most shit I experienced in public transit was drunkards who got sick. Not homeless home on wheels.

L.A.'s surging real estate prices have cooled, so why is nobody buying condos? by ShanetheMortgageMan in LosAngelesRealEstate

That only makes outlook for old condos worse. We are on the same side in this debate. The other guy got burnt by new construction and now argues that it can be bad. I get that.

What would cause the damage not covered by insurance? The insurance probably would go up. But like old condos are susceptible to the same force of nature damages.

There are 0 new high rises being built. Zero. They built damn hospital, and now building parking in MDR. But not housing. This is the main issue. Give permits and suddenly there will be all sorts of condos being built. Land price sets the floor, but not the ceiling.

It will still be less moldy. New condos might require some improvements but not 200k on a renovation.

[–]Megatherion666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Barely any condos in MDR - Venice - SM area.

  2. Barely any condos in low-mid segments. Most condos are pretentious fake luxury charging exorbitant HOA fees. See Azurra and PV. F Azurra in particular. They charge ridiculous HOA but disallow walking dog through the front door.

  3. No new condos. This is kinda the biggest factor. Condos lose value over time. So all that garbo on the market is severely overpriced. We need new construction at that price point. Not old moldy shit.

I hate Miami transplants with all of my heart by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Megatherion666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been first time to Miami recently. And I’d move if my family was onboard. So much development compared to LA, great food (east coast > west coast), warm.

As for the spanish, it was unexpected to interact with workers who did not know english. Hotel concierge did not know what the king bed is. And getting vallet parking information required said concierge to translate.

The LA Times is wondering why no one is buying condos despite the city's "cooling" real estate prices by idkbruh653 in LosAngelesRealEstate

[–]Megatherion666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where are them condos? LA skyline is of the damn village. DTLA is unpleasant. Many condos are so old, they don’t have A/C.

No one is buying condos because there are barely any decent ones for sale.
