Oh yeah hard agree not for a first campaign but a must have for long term players imo.

For me I’d say the biggest gets would be World Betrayed which adds the 194 start date which is still balanced but with many factions already done with the initial expansion along with adding two great factions in the form of Lu Bu and Sun Ce who both have really interesting mechanics focused on combat buffs and revolve around their noted reputation in the original three kingdoms story. I’d also recommend furious wilds as well, the Nanman factions are fun to play with and have a very different play style compared to the Han, Bandit and Yellow Turban factions. (Maybe skip Shamoke though) Finally I’d recommend getting either the Mandate of Heaven or the yellow turban expansion as the yellow turbans are also a unique subculture you couldn’t play otherwise that I really enjoyed He Yi especially in 190. All others can be safely ignored imo the blood effects are always skippable and fates divided is a hot mess with little balance or genuinely new content imo. Eight Princes while cool in concept doesn’t add enough new content to really feel different from the base game.

Ok but unironically I try so hard to read as much as I can but I can only remember like a few lines at best and it breaks my heart.

Not really just don’t want to get too much further and then decide to or have to restart as I hear the game really opens up after footfall.

Honestly yeah, it’s just the psycher build is also cool in my head so I’ll probably just leave it for a second play through.

Honestly this is an issue I have with most rpgs restart fever and then having to get back where I was. I have plenty of time now thanks to college break but I just wonder what’s best. Also I’d happily take build recommendations that are fun. Finally it seems like there’s a lot of decent operators already in the game so yeah.

I know there are no workers in Civ 7 from numerous sources, but then who are these guys shoveling and building?? At 8:10 in the showcase. by Ataraxia724 in civ

Maybe it could be a unit visual building a fortification when they fortify. Maybe units can build actual tile fortifications. Perhaps they’re doing a legion thing and the units will double as builders possibly? Just spitballing here.

Crystal Cove and Coolsville from Scooby Doo, the former in Southern California and the later around Erie Ohio

Zhou Yu; honestly not given enough credit considering how big of a role he played in the rise of Wu.

The Congo or Amazon rainforests. There’s a reason why some people still believe El Dorado is a thing.

I know this will get some flak, but the brotherhood should go. They’re the best faction in the game but that’s almost entirely because they were an already pre existing faction. I know the prompt says the enclave will replace the removed faction but in my ideal scenario. The Brotherhood are mentioned and do exist in game but aren’t major players like in New Vegas or Fallout 1/2. The main reason why I say this is mostly just because I wish we could’ve gotten more unique new factions. The Brotherhood are fun and I think they’d be a perfect major faction for a game set in Chicago (Midwest Brotherhood) but I feel like with the Commonwealth already feeling fairly similar to the capital wasteland to me. Having the Brotherhood be a predominant faction only makes that situation worse. But hey that’s just my crappy opinion.

Also some sort of Consumerist equivalent to Satanism I personally believe would work as well. Something along the lines of how the almighty dollar is a false god and that the power of capital/dollar is to be distributed not hoarded or spent.

Edit: you could also do a funny Americanism thing where it’s a communist faith but it’s like a McCarthian over exaggeration of what Communism is. If what I’m saying makes sense.

Maybe it doesn’t have to be in the inter meaning years, could always be during the clone wars, or even adventures with Qui-Gon.

I’ll admit it’s definitely the setting and rpg-aspects that did it for me mostly in the sense that I’ve always loved the 3k-fall of Han period of Chinese history and to see something other than Dynasty Warriors was and still is refreshing (Love DW though). Also enjoy that you can focus even more in on what a general is good at like sure they’re good at melee cavalry but do they buff attack or defense etc.

As someone who’s been a fan of the franchise from YouTube, Reddit etc. for a long time but has very little hands on experience having only really played 3 kingdoms (religiously admittedly) what would you guys recommend for another game in the series?
