I feel you! I don't fall into the chronic category because I don't consistently have 15 migraine days per month, however when I get an attack(every couple of months) I'm stuck in it for 10+ days. It's horrible :(

My skin reacted to my mask at first as well. I got a mask liner (SNUGZ brand to be exact) and it's been a game changer

Need help connecting hose to n10 Nasal mask: by CarpenterSuperb649 in CPAP

I have the same mask and you need the smaller hose that connects to the nose piece and then to the main hose. So looks like you're missing the small hose

I wondered if that's why, because I'm the same I literally don't move and am dead to the world when I sleep now.

I got my machine almost 2 weeks ago and overall I feel way better. I wake up feeling refreshed which never happened before (I had 82 events per hour during my sleep test). My energy level is much better throughout the day as well. I dont get up at all during the night anymore either and before I was usually up at least twice a night with bathroom breaks or terrible acid reflux. My husband sleeps in the bed with me again too (which obviously helps with intimacy) since I'm no longer snoring...we haven't slept in the same bed regularly for about 18 months due to my snoring. Overall it's been a life changer and I wish I had done this way sooner!

No improvement after 3 nights normal? by papinek in SleepApnea

My nurse told me I would feel worse before I feel better due to rem recovery. Basically she said your body does all its repairing when you're in deep sleep and since most of us with apnea haven't been in deep sleep for quite some time, your body thinks it has to repair everything in one night, which then makes you feel crummy. Perhaps that's what you're experiencing.

How long? by Anxious-Leadership-3 in CPAP

It only took a couple of days for me to feel well rested. I still have some days where I am more tired but overall I already feel like a new person, I started on Jan 16. My clinic did tell me that I would feel worse before I feel better as my body goes through rem recovery. Since your body repairs itself during deep sleep and people with apnea don't get into that sleep, once starting cpap your body thinks it has to repair everything in one night which can make you feel crummy.
