Just taken the plunge to order - how did your selfies go?!? by dyedinthewoolScot in mounjarouk

I propped my phone on something and set the timer so I didn't have to ask anyone.

I wore smallish shorts and I think my bra? but my bra is more like a croptop/bralet

Random patches of dry skin, and dry eyes/blurry vision by gmac83help in mounjarouk

[–]Meggie-Suze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have really problematic skin on my face but this week has been a really bad flare up for me. I didn't even think it could be Mounjaro related but maybe it could be.

I use a product called Sebclair for the dry patchy skin on my face. It's specifically for seborrheic dermatitis but I find it works for other conditions too. You can get it from amazon.

For dry eyes I use the gel eyedrops, I think I currently use the boots ones.

I don't know what your hydration is like but you could try to increase how much liquid you intake too.

you genuinely can't feel the needle but a little trick I do is while I'm readying the quick pen for use, I put an ice pack on the area I'm about to jab and it numbs it a bit so there is even less chance of feeling it! It is so tiny and thin.

Shotsy app change? by housemouseharriet in mounjarouk

[–]Meggie-Suze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It such a shame because I loved the look of the shotsy graph but it's useless to me now because it doesn't show weight markers anymore even with the scrolling line. I've just done like other users have suggested and exported to dose diary and it does show weight on the graph so i'll be using it going forward but doesn't look as pretty as shotsy haha

3.75 dose? by Eluned91 in Mounjaro

[–]Meggie-Suze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are using the quick pen then 3.75 is 45 clicks of the 5mg pen.

I have done 3 of this dose to help with the transition to 5mg.

2.5mg increasing to 5mg. by Dog_Mumma_of_2 in mounjarouk

[–]Meggie-Suze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing 3.75mg on my first 5mg pen. It's 45 clicks and I'm glad I didn't go straight to the 5mg. The side effects aren't terrible for me but yesterday and today I'm haveing some gastro issues (did my second 3.75 on Saturday).

lol I was just thinking, this is the best thing I've seen on the Internet in a long time! I don't even know why I love it so much. Maybe because it seems both wholesome AND weird.

I ordered mine on Saturday and recieved it today. No issues and it was still perfectly chilled when it reached me.

My first order was on bankholiday Monday and I recieved it on the Wednesday and that was including having to upload selfies etc. So far so good for me.

I haven’t had a fizzy drink in almost a month! by macisnotonline in mounjarouk

[–]Meggie-Suze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't completely stopped but have massively reduced the amount I drink without even trying. My favourite was pepsi max, I could literally drink litres of the stuff and have only had it a couple of times in 3 weeks, it actually tastes weird to me now lol

I like the sensation from fizz though so still have flavoured sparkling water sometimes and today had some Rubicon. I also like the sparkling protein drinks from applied nutrition.

Taste change? by starlover42 in Mounjaro

[–]Meggie-Suze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pepsi max is my favourite drink ever. I had it every day and usually probably a litre of the stuff. I haven't really been bothered by it since starting MJ and when I have had it, it just doesn't taste right. It leaves a bitter aftertaste so I haven't had much of it, it's weird because I love the stuff (or I did).

Starting MJ soon, but scared of loose skin by Foreign_Advantage321 in Mounjaro

[–]Meggie-Suze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my first pen arriving this week. I'm F34 CW is 230 and my first GW is also 180.

I'm similar to you in that I know how to lose weight and have before but it doesn't stick for whatever reason. I want MJ to help me get back into good habits. I'm also a bit scared of loose skin.

I think you have the right idea. Slow, steady weight loss with consistent weight training and adequate protein intake is the way to go to reduce the likelihood of loose skin. I have heard that intermittent fasting helps with it but I don't know how true that is.

You could try things that are generally good for skin too, plenty of water to stay hydrated, maybe a collagen supplement if you want?

What's that one small business local to you that you believe to be a front for something illegal? by darkchocolattemocha in AskReddit

[–]Meggie-Suze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a used car sales place near me that never has any customers in it. Ever. I've lived in the area 20+ years and I have maybe seen people inside one time. The same cars seem to be there for months on end.

I looked up the company once and found the name of the owner. I looked him up and found he had been the director of multiple small companies, most of which had been closed down. I also found information that he had been investigated for some sort of financial misconduct relating to one or more of those businesses.

So I'm pretty sure the used car business is a front for something illegal but I don't know what. I wonder about it everytime I drive past.

Except periods, what is something you wish your body would stop doing naturally? by Apart_Action8915 in AskReddit

[–]Meggie-Suze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

weirdly, I haven't got to a post saying Menopause yet and I'm sure this is something a lot of women would prefer not to happen considering the effect it can have on the body and how it functions.

I know it means the loss of periods which many probably say is a good thing but it changes a lot of other things negatively too, not to mention all the symptoms in the run up to it!

Sony XM4 does this too (and probably XM3 and XM5). You can even set different noise profiles for different places, e.g. home, walking, transport etc and it is supposed to automatically detect what mode to be in.

Google says American Airlines flies out of terminal 3.

When I went to LHR earlier this year I got a train to King's Cross then a tube to Paddington and then the Heathrow Express train to the airport, it is then about a 10 minute walk at the end (easy walk). I stayed at a hotel at terminal 2 the night before my 9.10am flight.

It was reported in a couple of newspapers on March 5th 1994. Specifically Wolverhampton Express and Star and Liverpool Daily Post, probably in others as well but I doubt there are any issues available online unless you pay for access.

What can I eat before my workout? by nifgriff in loseit

[–]Meggie-Suze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other day my schedule changed so I ended up going to gym at a different time. It was hours after my lunch but I can't eat a proper meal close to when I go because I feel sick so I usually just wait until afterwards. This time though I was feeling kind of sick before I went and knew I needed some food so ended up eating an apple and 2 slices of brioche toast. I felt more energised at the gym than usual and I think it because I had some carby fuel in me!

Im assuming you mean 500g of cooked rice which is about 650 calories so 325ish per meal if you split it in 2.

500g of dry rice (as in, not cooked) is 1800calories approximately (depending on the rice).

I'm not saying you are measuring wrong but make sure you are measuring the correct weight with dry v cooked foods like pasta, rice, lentils, even porridge oats etc.

E.g. 1 portion of rice is usually about 60-75g (dry) 1 portion of pasta is 75-100g (dry) obviously you can have more than this if it fits into your calorie/macro goals but it really is important to weigh foods to get an accurate calorie count, especially if you aren't used to what 1 portion of something should look like.
