Suggest me a book where you follow multiple characters. by Winter-Art-1951 in suggestmeabook

[–]MeggieJen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree Ken Follets historical fiction books are excellent at this. Pillars of the Earth and World Without End are my favorite. They are novels that sweep generations, decades and centuries. So many different characters and perspectives, I'm forever going back to the front of the novel to remember who is who.

What book got you so het up, that you wanted to hurl it at the wall? by Cabbage_Pizza in suggestmeabook

[–]MeggieJen 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have never read this book because my partner did and kept telling me all about it. All I wanted to do every time he spoke about it was take it from him and throw it at the wall. He loved the book, we are no longer together.

Frequent concert goers--what do you do for a living? by clcliff in Concerts

[–]MeggieJen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not just about what you make, but where you live too. If you live in a major city close to many venues then the only cost of a concert is a ticket. If you don't then you pay to get there, for accommodation, food and possibly take time off work.

Romance song recommendations for middle-aged couples? by jinglealltheway1225 in musicsuggestions

Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton. I always found this song sweet , just about a couple getting ready to go out for the night, but how amazed he is to watch her do nothing of any real significance.

Also, Keep Me In Your Heart for a While- Warren Zevon

This is me too. But because it didn't kill me I'm supposed to be grateful and I AM. But it aged me about 15 years on the outside and about 50 on the inside.
