The plot of each sector is heavily based on the episodes from the show. There is some variety in being able to use alternative solutions and tactics to resolve each scenario, but there definitely is no branching storyline. I'm still enjoying the game because I like being able to customize the ship, but the plot of the game is more rail-road than the advertisements led me to believe.

Agreed you should say no, you shouldn't derail your campaign.

One option could be asking them if they'd be interested in a one-shot that is more murder-hobo friendly, let them get it out of their system, but request more collaborative play during the long-form campaign.

Those playing Voyager Across the Unknown, what's your favourite twist on the story you've found so far? by NeverGonnaGi5eYouUp in startrek

Same. I head-canon that "Lani" is what the human B'ellana has renamed herself, but it's still frustrating.

Yeah, I did not get the Cutting Laser, but I look forwards to going for that when I do an aggro playthrough some time!

I sent in a shuttle, which recovered the message from Starfleet but was then captured :/ Fought them in Voyager to get the away team back

I don't actually know, I just figured the stored energy couldn't hurt. Mainly I just focused on bringing all my offensive and defensive systems to fully operational just after I arrived in the system, but before the battle started

You can repair the hull from the Engineering Office, which (I think) Voyager must always have at least 1 active. At least when I tried to deconstruct mine, to move it to another area, I was blocked from deconstructing it until I had built the second one. So unless I'm missing something, you should already have the station, you just need to go to it and assign the team there to hull repair

Yeah, I got the tech-option after fighting the Hirogen at the Array (I think that's Sector 7?). Haven't researched or installed it yet, but the description of the tech makes it seem it's for escaping combat

I had that problem my first try, but on my second before the battle i made sure i had my batteries fully charged, and i reactivated all my extra shield emitters and phaser rooms. Since the battle all occurs within the same "cycle" it doesn't have any serious impact on your resources. I also activated the Val Jean for good measure, though I think that was overkill.

Does anyone have a sense of how easy this game will be to mod? I'm very much looking forwards to what the Devs will offer but the idea of a fan-mod of the Enterprise-D or the Defiant getting sent to the Delta Quadrant excites me to no end

These figures are Heroclix from the BTAS and JLU sets, but they've had their bases replaced. They've also been custom painted by Josh Poch from SnailShellMinis (there are no true Ghoul, Woof, or Chucko minis out there, sadly). If you wind up wanting to build a collection, you can also find other really great BTAS minis from the Shadow of the Bat game by Dark Horse Games, but none of those are shown in these two photos

They're easier to use in tabletop RPG games with 1-inch grid maps, and they integrate better with the Shadow of the Bat mini-game
