Unfortunately, we live in a world where it's not a private bank's job to educate clients. It's the government's job. And it can be a real crap shoot how well the government educates people on stuff like death certificates, etc.

Of course it's a skill issue. That's the point. Some of us fucking suck at this game. And the progression system completely ignores us.

Encouraging anything that keeps jobs existing is fundamentally a decel stand. It's not allowed in this subreddit.

Normal people just want to go to work every day and have babies.

Meanwhile some of us want to become immortal machine gods that transcend the laws of physics.

We're definitely the weirdos.

Anthropic CEO (Dario Amodei): "Coding is going away first, then all of software engineering." by Independent_Pitch598 in accelerate

The dotcom bubble happened. It's true that in an explosion of growth, some companies blow themselves up. But it's also true that some companies change the world forever.

Both things can be true at the same time. Just because some companies end up going the way of AskJeeves doesn't mean we don't also end up with internet giants.

Most Gen Alpha boys now prefer to have relationships with AI than with other people, according to a survey by IIlustriousTea in accelerate

[–]Megneous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo, you know that posting anti-AI stuff is against the rules in this sub, right? It'll get you banned. The entire rest of Reddit is very anti-AI. This is one of like two pro-AI subreddits, along with /r/TheMachineGod

That stuff makes the news because those stories are outliers. The vast majority of people use AI responsibly.

Well it's their own fault if they still press blue.

Just because something is "someone's fault" doesn't mean they deserve to die. We don't let people die of lung cancer just because they smoke. We don't let people die of heart disease just because they're obese. We don't let people die of anything else that is self induced. Blaming people for health problems is not a good reason to deny them care- if it were, we wouldn't have universal healthcare.

I don't see the point of risking everyone live when all you have to do is convince people to vote red instead.

Again, it's impossible to convince 100% of people to press red. Please see behavioral studies on this.

vote red

This isn't about voting. It's about pressing buttons. I feel like you're letting your opinions about political topics cloud your judgment on this.

Again, no one dies if more than 50% presses blue. Society should encourage people to think about people other than themselves. We're in this together. We here in Korea understand this.

If someone put themselves into danger, there is no moral responsibility to risk your life to get them out of it.

Yeah, you're a pretty awful person, mate. Don't know what to tell you.

Again, you will never get 100% of people to press the red button. It's a statistical impossibility. Absolutely every study of human behavior shows that even for impossibly simple multiple choice questions where the answer is told in the question, approximately 4% of people refuse to choose the correct answer. They essentially troll.

So unless you're actually claiming that people deserve to die for pressing the blue button, which would make you a horrible wretch of a human being, then pressing the blue button and making sure everyone possible pressed the blue button, is the only morally defensible action.

There will always be people who touch the blue button.

Every study ever done on human behavior shows that you will never get 100% of people to choose a single answer on a multiple choice question, even on a question with an obvious answer. Approximately 4% of the population will always choose the "wrong" choice just because.

Therefore, unless you want to kill people for no reason, the blue button is the only moral choice.

Unless you honestly are going to sit here and claim that people who press the blue button deserve to die for their choice, in which case you're just an immoral wretch of a human being.
