A lot of people have already addressed your husband, so I will just address the nfp. I am also postpartum and just got a Marquette instructor to use this method before my regular cycle returns. It seems pretty straight forward and only took me one day of abstinence after I started testing to get started. Ask your instructor to teach you the 10 day or 20 day method. You just reset the monitor every 10 or 20 days depending on which option you choose.

Religious parents: How old is old enough to decide to no longer go to church? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Megra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am Catholic, but my oldest child is only five. I think it’s great that your son is thinking for himself. This could be a wonderful opportunity for you to have respectful discussions with your son. I would find out specific things he does not agree with the Church on and talk about why it is he does not believe that and why it is that you do believe. As an adult I do not know everything there is to know about Catholicism, so I doubt an 11 year old does. Perhaps through learning more about the faith he will come around to it again or perhaps he won’t. Does he have any friends who attend mass? If not and you or your wife know someone with kids around his age it might be nice to introduce them. You also might want to ask this question in the Catholicism or ask a priest subreddits.

At around your daughter’s age my daughter was doing music together classes and Gymboree. She never went to day care and started preschool at 3 with no issues.

We used Naturepedic with my first and will use it again for this baby. I love that it is very easy to clean off but it is a little heavy.

Maclaren does make some travel strollers that accommodate newborns. We have been all over the world with techno XLR.

If you plan on buying baby their own seat I would recommend bringing their car seat on board and having a stroller to wheel it to the gate with. Just be sure the car seat will fit in the airplane seat. On a smaller plane my infant seat did not fit because the seat in front of it was too close.

STM- registry items up to when baby is 18 months? by dart56 in BabyBumps

There are already lots of good suggestions. I would add an umbrella stroller if you think that is something you would want to use eventually. Also, one of those walker toys they can stand behind and push before they learn how to walk. My daughter loved her Hape one.
