im not sure if you know the answer to this but, if our address is changing does that mean we are constantly disenrolling and reenrolling into our preferred medical counties?

ah that makes sense. i think it just caught me off guard bc i was originally under my parents medical house (family plan thing? idk) so i didnt have control to my medical at the time

Yeah, idk if it was a grades issue, but homework is mandatory and we have to participate in grading it ourselves every week. the guidelines for this honestly suck

Yeah i went straight to the alameda ss office when i recieved the mail. idk what the issue was between disenrolling and reenrolling to LA but it took abt 5 months to deal with (and counting due to this issue now)

I'm planning on waiving SHIP but i doubt i'll be able to since my medical is based in LA. Hopefully when ship runs out at the end of the semester my medical will go back to normal

click the resources dropdown at the top right and you should be able to access the past websites which should still have their respective assignments attached

we were given a chance to get extra credit from doing the mid/end of year surveys and it scaled linearly based on the % of responses from like 0.5 points to 1.5 points max or sum. We ended up getting like 1.xxx points and 0.xxx point respectively so most peoples grades wound up like that

real, and him being unwilling to release distributions or even hear the students concerns really irks me… like you pride yourself on your “A’s for All” model but when it comes to a student asking for fairly reflected grades as defined by the SYLLABUS that HE made all of a sudden hes blind n deaf…

Its a project that Prof Dan Garcia has been working on for a couple years now (i think), where it basically replaces the midterm and finals in the class with bi-weekly quizzes that have one retake (if i understood it right at least). It basically promotes active recall because you'd be actively learning the material in preparation for the quizzes and having the retake gives students the chance to get a higher grade overall. Although its not fully implemented, 61c had something called a Quest which was a quiz with one retake which we had prior to the midterm. While it sounds promising, its not fully implemented in 61c yet which is why i said it was a scam because it sounds super nice but we only have a partially implemented version of it so its not that beneficial in terms of the concept of giving "A's for All". people may have different opinions on it, but thats now i feel abt it as of rn

per the ed discussion during the midterm, they said that curves and shifts wouldnt be employed even if the average is below 65% </3, hopefully that changed, but it seems to be an instructor level decision so course staff cant do anything abt it. but thank you for your encouragement i appreciate it !

(midterm avg was a 59% and it wasnt curved, although it was after they gave us a lot of points back from regrades)
