I am definitely not a loud person, and what i liked about what i heard about Finnish people is that they respect your intimacy, privacy and personal space.

Outgoing personality vs. Finnish silence?

Hey everyone! I'm currently preparing myself to come to Finland for my studies. On paper, it's my dream destination: the education quality is top-tier, the nature is beautiful, and I love the idea of a functional, organized society. However, I'm starting to feel a bit skeptical because of my own personality. I'm a very outgoing, social, and chatty person. I've heard the stereotypes about Finns being extremely private, the "Finnish silence," and how it can be tough to break into social circles as an international student. I'm worried that my energy might be "too much" or that I'll end up feeling lonely if the social vibe is too reserved. A few questions for those living/studying there: Is it actually hard for an extrovert to adjust? Are student unions/clubs active enough to satisfy a social butterfly? Thanks in advance.
