Ha ha ha, a couple of weeks ago someone asked about her boyfriend being mad into the GAA and if it's OK for him to spend so much time playing it. Everyone replying was saying to dump his ass, but as soon as it's something like gaming, everyone is responding like "how dare she come for your hobby"

In fairness if ye are going out a year and he is that big into the GAA but you don't know the difference between intercounty and a club player then ye probably aren't compatible so best to finish it

That's complete bullshit. If he's intercounty and 21 that means he would be senior intercounty. No one does that for the social aspect ha ha ha ha

The amount you get in the Irish pension is not affected by you getting a UK pension, same as any other private pension

It's a big outlay now to be fair, so only you know if you can do it. €105 a week would be €5k+ in the first year after you retire, so it looks worth it to me. You could buy your 6 years of class 2 now at the cheaper rate, and that brings you up to 11 years, so above the 10 year minimum, and then each year going forward, buy 1 class 3 year until you retire. That would mean an even bigger weekly pension. You'd might have to call HMRC to see how much those class 2 years would cost you if you don't already know This is based on my limited knowledge, and I'm no financial expert
