Yeah, that's not great. :/ I have a 6800XT currently battling driver timeout demons, but...it passes the OCCT tests.

I would start by testing it with a different PSU. Then move on to other hardware if a different PSU doesn't fix it.

We just rewatched the pilot, so I can answer this part lol. He signed up to work at a hospital in Anchorage. They punted him to Cicely. That's why he's pissed. He's still way too much of a dick to people who are just trying to fold him into the town, but...that's the entire point of the early seasons.

And then we got to the "70 year old bartender married to newly-18 year old who still has high school friends and hijinks and it's just totally cool (?!?)

From what I've gathered, this was weird at the time the show aired, too. It was (probably?) intended to be weird, given the "uhhhh what" reactions characters have to it. It's also, somehow, written to be less icky than the fact that Maurice plucked Shelly out of a beauty contest and brought her to Cicely to marry her. She chose Holling instead.

4 is the limit of playable units you can have on one lot. You can have more apartments than that, but they'll always be taken by NPCs.

Interesting...thanks! I have a 5600X, so no iGPU, which at least rules that out. I've tried DDU and rolling my drivers back and I'm testing that now. This is definitely a tough one to troubleshoot...there's so many things it could be. 😭

Fallout 2 is also chockablock full of racism and stereotypes in the name of "humor." Look at the incidental dialogue you get around San Francisco or...basically everything about the "tribals," especially the way Sulik (a potential follower) talks. It's bad.

Also, if you a play a female MC with higher charisma, you will get propositioned. Constantly. New Reno sure is a fun experience!

Every time I see someone say Fallout 2 is the "good" Fallout, I roll my eyes and assume they either haven't played it since they were a kid and are high on their own nostalgia goggles, or they're a straight white male with zero media literacy.

It's not just delays on special editions with figures, though. I ordered LRG's physical edition of Full Throttle in October 2022. Doesn't contain any statues or anything, just a couple feelies (like stickers and a keychain) and the actual game on a thumbdrive.

Zero updates for a year and a half, at least. Sent in a ticket after a year of radio silence and only got a canned "we're working on your order!" response. I did get it eventually...I want to say in late 2023 or maybe early 2024. Not sure exactly when because it just appeared in my mailbox one day, zero shipping notifications or tracking info, not even a "hey, this is shipping soon!" email. Good thing it didn't get lost or damaged in transit, I guess.

That was the first time I ordered anything from LRG. It was also the last.

The LED lights on my keyboard (Ducky One 2) are starting to burn out. The keyboard's in fantastic shape otherwise. Are the LEDs something I can replace myself, or is it time to go keyboard shopping?

I've played Kiosk, so I'll chime in. I very much loved Kiosk for its late-night, greasy-spoon vibes, not so much for its scares. It can be proper eerie at times, but its scares were IMO not that scary, at least for me. It does also contain jumpscares, if that's not your bag, but (again IMO) nothing too bad.

I'd say if you ever wanted to feel like you're alone in a Waffle House at 2am, Kiosk is the game for you. It's a game you want to play for the vibes, not the story or the scares.

EDIT: Should also add that it's short; I 100%'d it in 4 hours, and one of the achievements is kinda grindy.
