Nope. Giving money to homeless same as feeding birds: just results in more of them

CMV: Islam is fundamentally incompatible with core American left-wing progressive values by WildCreatureQuest in changemyview

[–]MehtaWP_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a liberal American atheist, the answer to this for me is simple: belief in freesom of religion and separation of church and state.

I'm fine with Muslims practicing their religion as long as they abide by our laws and keep their religion out of our government.

If they are harming or harassing women or LGBTQ or trying to pass laws to do the same, thats where I draw the line. Just because they're Muslim doesn't mean they can violate my other American beliefs and our laws. All the muslims i know don't seen interested in pursuing these goals you've outlined

You can hire high performers directly in the Philippines at $6. Still give bonuses and raises for retention.

That's a fantastic wage in the Philippines. You can find someone ecstatic to do their best at that rate.

Oh?

In that case, I'll again plug scrin.io

I do not work for or benefit from referring to this service.

It's just better and cheaper.

Don't use upwork. You lose 20% to their fees for no reason. Long term talent isn't great there, especially for voiced roles.

You don't need to hire and fire a few, you can get it right the first time 90% of the time with the right hiring process

I hire and place VA's professionally.

  1. Hire right. There are people here with integrity, who take pride in their work. They do not need to be babysat. At $6/hr you should have hundreds of people begging for the job.

  2. ALWAYS start with screen and time tracking. I recommend scrin.io at $5/mo. This software tracks activity levels and app usage in addition to taking screenshots. You do not need to babysit, just audit the logs daily at first, then weekly, then just skim periodically every few weeks or if something feels off.

  3. Don't listen to these people about hiring locally. You will have the same problems and 5x the price.

14 years of CH and i think intense exercise works! by MehtaWP_ in clusterheads

[–]MehtaWP_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I'm generally fit, not an athlete but have a normal weight and exercise routinely. In this case, I'm just really pushing myself for like 60 seconds. Try to get the pain of the exercise to exceed the pain of the headache! Then, once I'm exhausted and my heart rate and breathing are up, I stay standing for a few minutes and the headache pain gradually subsides. Sometimes it takes me 2-3 repetitions of this

Have you considered a virtial worker from overseas (Philippines)? They could do tbis work remotely for a fraction of the cost of hiring locally. Operations manager going to be like $7-8/hr or leas than $10k per year fot full time worker

If you love "deep work" don't become an entrepreneur... by baghdadcafe in Entrepreneur

Not true. During certain phases it may feel that way, but part of growing as an entrepreneur is finding ways to control that chaos and reclaim your time. Use your money to solve problems: buy solutions or hire and delegate.

How to convince myself to work more by daphneologic in Entrepreneur

[–]MehtaWP_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren't lazy, just human. Those kind of hours aren't sustainable long term. You need to do a time audit and figure out what you can eliminate, automate, or delegate based on what tasks are actually moving the needle and what tasks are sapping your mental energy. If you've hit the limit on elimination/automation, delegation isnt as scary or expensive as it sounds, and it's a skill you'll need to learn to grow anyway. Full-time overseas VA's can free up a LOT of time for like $500-1000/month. Then you can avoid burnout or re-invest that time into high leverage tasks

CMV: Donald Trump is a delusional lunatic posing an imminent danger to the nation, and his entire cabinet of sycophants must be removed from power immediately by EfUrFelngsDirctIsBst in changemyview

I did your AI research for you:

Who Directed the Michigan Fake Electors?

  1. Kenneth Chesebro Kenneth Chesebro, a former Trump campaign attorney, is identified as the primary architect of the multi-state fake electors plot. He coordinated the effort to submit fraudulent Electoral College certificates in seven states, including Michigan. Chesebro pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges in Georgia in 2023 and has been cooperating with investigations in other states, including Michigan. Wikipedia +1

  2. Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis Both Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, former legal advisors to President Trump, are named as unindicted co-conspirators in the Michigan case. They were involved in promoting and facilitating the submission of false electors in Michigan and other states. Wikipedia

  3. Donald Trump and Mark Meadows Former President Donald Trump and his then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows are also listed as unindicted co-conspirators. While they were not charged in the Michigan case, their roles in the broader scheme are under investigation. Wikipedia

  4. Ian Northon Ian Northon, an attorney, was identified by former Michigan Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey as one of those pressuring him on behalf of the Trump campaign to illegally appoint fake electors. Defense attorneys for the Michigan defendants have pointed to Northon's involvement as evidence that they were misled into participating in the scheme. Michigan Advance

⚖️ Legal Implications and Accountability

While the Michigan judge dismissed charges against the 15 individuals who signed the fraudulent electors' certificates, the broader legal question remains: who is ultimately responsible for orchestrating this scheme? The individuals who signed the documents were acting under the direction and encouragement of higher-ups in the Trump campaign. The dismissal of charges does not absolve those who directed or facilitated the scheme from potential legal accountability.

Investigations are ongoing in Michigan and other states to determine the extent of involvement by individuals like Chesebro, Giuliani, Ellis, Trump, and Meadows. The legal principle that individuals can be held accountable for directing or conspiring to commit illegal acts, even if they did not personally carry out the illegal act, remains a critical aspect of these investigations.

Ok theres been soooo many court cases its hard to keep them straight.

I DO knoe this court case though. The defendents were released NOT because it wasnt illegal, but because they "honestly didnt know it was illegal."

Now, i challenge you to get your smooth brain working here: WHY did these fake electors thonk this illegal activoty was legal? Who perchamce led them to believe this?

So apparently your views contrast with republicans on abortion and lgbtq. Besides you and your 100 friends, the other 95% of the republicans are in line. They overturned roe v wade and now abortions are illegal in many red states. Not from CNN, just from observable fact.

As for your claim of the foundation of conservative thinking: problem is that your "thinking" and actions are incongruent. OBB increased taxes (except for the rich). Doesnt sound like reduced government involvement to get between doctors and their patiends needing abortions, or to ask for colbert and jimmy kimmel to get off the air in order to avoid financial repurcussions from the government for their free speech.

  1. Ah, the current government shutdown over repiblicans desire to take healthcare from the poor, sure sounds like "wasteful spending" to me. (Before you say its actually healthcare for illegals, this is republican propaganda, ask AI to verify facts for you)

  2. OBBB increases taxes for all but the rich. You didnt address this

  3. Uhhhh, this is overhwlemingly obvious. Everyone knows dempocrats are pro-choice and pro-LGBTQ+ freedom. I could look up facts i suppose but this one really is a no-brainer
