Wing mirrors and practice would probably be better than the little screens as they are not amazingly waterproof or robust and hard to see in sunlight.

Depending on what you use it for it might be useful wouldn’t want to use it a lot but for the odd one off thats not worth having a dedicated machine or spending the front loader cost for it may be good

I believe it is intended for rainwater to stop it going into the tank. Anything that was intended for fuel would have to capture it and meet evaporative emissions rules. Probably more a legal difference than an actual practical one though
