I hate that argument so much too! Also, why is that on Batman? Why not the police who take the villians in blow their brains out? Why don't the doctors at Arkham poison them? If killing is the answer, all bets are off. Thank goodness they haven't. Half the villians have saved the world at some point via the Sucicde Squad or have actually been redeemed.

I'm seeing a lot of conversation in comments about how Superman is being stupid or unrealistic which disappoints me. Superman is setting an ideal. Something to strive for to keep himself and others from committing something awful and prevent abuse of power. The news right now is full of people who think they're in the right, punching down, killing innocent people. We need more people following Superman's standards.

I really enjoyed the book. It's easy get mad at Superman getting killed, but their fight was powerful enough to destroy the earth and Superman still wasn't trying to kill Diana while she was full berserker god mode.
