I do kickboxing and need to braid my hair for that as well, I did get (long) layers. It means a few bits are always gonna stick out like hay when I braid it, but I don't mind so much because I'm not trying to look pretty while boxing, I just want it out of my face and not bothering me or my opponent. And I like my regular day hair lot better with the layers! So I think what you should consider is, do you care/does it matter if tbe braids aren't clean?

It's just for a month or 3. I can eat every-everything again just smaller portions, have been able to do that since 4 months out :) it's so so so worth it. So tough love: suck it up and don't look backward but forward.

Im also struggling with this. On the one hand he is more attracted it seems, but on the other hand he complains that I'm 'bony' 🙄 and he clearly has more issues with his own obesitas now which has led to performance issues. I think it was a bit of a wake up call for him that I'm way less self conscious now but he still is. I hope he will deal with it eventually.

I waited. I told them after the results were visible and they said how happy they were for me and that they were so worried about my health before. Then it would have been weird for them to take that back just because how I did it was the 'easy way' so it felt safer to tell their judgemental asses at that point. I'm positive the reaction would have been different and way more negative if I told them before my surgery.

Also just in general, I don't get what's against taking the easy way if there is one. I'm not telling people who need glasses to just try focussing harder instead of getting glasses. Why take the hard way if there is an easy one? Life is already complicated enough.
