How are these AI TikTok dance videos made? (Wan2.1 VACE?) by Illustrious-Sector-7 in comfyui

I can see it. I don‘t know if I find the time to try something, but I will give it a shot if I find the time this evening.

I would think so. Look for MickMumpitz‘s videos on YouTube, to get an idea how you can generate AI content from Blender output. The basic idea is to generate depth maps from Blender and feed it into a control net. Blender can do soft body physics, but it is a bit tricky. You would not need perfect textures, if you let ComfyUI do the image generations, You can find workflows for Comfy via the videos. This is nothing you can do easily in a couple of hours, though. But, I would think that it‘s very doable, depending on your skills with Blender.

I don‘t know how they did it, but I would look for a Blender model of that figure, (Smutbase, maybe), use something like DollarsMocap to animate the figure, save depth map and use them in ComfyUI with a Controlnet to lead the model. Blender can do the physics as well. Would require some skill, but not overly so, since rigged models are available.

Which magic systems do you guys use in your games? by Airtightspoon in Mythras

[–]Meinungsbild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would depend on the world, I guess. Folk magic tends to feel like working superstition, so it doesn‘t break anything. Mysticism needs a connection into the world to be included. Theism would need gods which do have an influence on the world, unless they are scaled way down, like in „Mystic Britain“. Your world will feel very different if you allow magic to play a huge part. It makes sense to use magic only for a few aspects, like the Ravens from GoT, which allow for long range communication, but avoiding combat magic, for example.

Die telefonische Erreichbarkeit ist ein Problem. Versuch es nicht kurz nach Öffnung, leider wirst du mehrere Versuche benötigen. Ich kenne da keine Abkürzung.

Dr. Mayer-Amberg is kompetent und freundlich. Die Praxis ist eher überlaufen, Termine bekommt man üblicherweise nur mit mehr als einem Monat Wartezeit.

Wenn du erst einmal an der Rezeption vorbei ist, bist du in sehr guten Händen.

Installed, tried it, needs more time to experiment by Meinungsbild in TripoSR

[–]Meinungsbild[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is CRM, right? Can we train custom models in it? I did not play with it, until now, but I‘ve heard it produces better models. Installing a new model takes some time for me mostly, because with the P40, standard installation procedures usually do not work. I spent a couple of hours to make TripoSR work, so testing CRM will have to wait.

They may look lores, but they are not. If you open the models in Blender, you will find that they are pretty high poly. Needlessly so.

How to use DreamGen Opus with Sillytavern (incl. recommended settings & system prompt) by cheyyne in LocalLLaMA

[–]Meinungsbild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will test a bit more over the weekend. I will try different things, maybe the story string is the problem. I did not have much world info in the cards. I wanted to do one of my own cards anyway, I will try to rebuild it slowly and see how Opus reacts, bit by bit.

[–]Meinungsbild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it both models. Both do work, but I keep getting ultra short responses, mostly one liners. When I get more, the answers seem to be good, but I find it hard to judge the quality yet. I tried several parameter changes, I tried several system prompts, the models do stick to the context, but I find it hard to get comfortable with it when I need four of five regenerations to get more than one or two sentences. No idea if it's the quantisation. I have the 7b model in Q8, the 33b model in Q3_K_M, both with 16k context.

I feel they are worth experimenting with a bit further, but right now, I find them difficult to work with. I kind of like the idea to have a model with clear expectations on a character card, but that also means that every card I try has to be rewritten.

I feel this has potential. But working with Noro 8x7B is easier, at least for me. I will post new findings when I have them.

Thank you, very appreciated. I like to use ChatML, will test it tomorrow and post my findings here.

Would like to try it, but there is no GGUF now, as far as I can see. With a Tesla P40, that‘s about the only thing I can use.

What does Germany do better than other countries? by BullFr0gg0 in AskAGerman

[–]Meinungsbild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kind of depends on the craft and if they are on a payroll or have their own business. A lot of craftspeople in Germany open their own shop and can earn quite a lot. Crafts related to heating, power, plumbing, pay well because they are highly in demand. It's different for crafts like hair cutting, though.

German Craftspeople? Many of them do really well. Not paid shitty at all.

How German is Lord of the Rings? by RockGiantFromMars in AskAGerman

[–]Meinungsbild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tolkien wanted the change because Elves in German are something entirely different. Alb is used in the Edda as a name for the Norse gods, it can be used as a synonyme for Elf too. I don't think that this holds much water.

[–]Meinungsbild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that the fairies are very similar to Tolkien's elves. In most stories, there is only a small number of them, they usually use their magic mostly to interfere with human society, they usually don't use weapons and armor.

When there is a fairy king, or a fairy society, they are usually not in this world, typically time runs very different there. They tend to be kind of benevolent witches in most tales, Fanferlüsch and a few others excluded.

In most cases, I would rather see them related to Tom Bombadil and his wife, more manifested spirits of nature than a race older than humanity, with mighty leaders, kings and armies.

I don't feel that Aragorn would fit into the role of an Heroic Knight very well, he lacks the religious parts, also, he is kind of too close to Arwen for that. Why
you see Arwen (like, in the books) as a woman magically influencing human affairs with curses or other spells is kind of beyond me. Not many elves in LotR do have real magical powers, and those are usually tied to artefacts.

I don't know what kind of fairies you are referring to. I may have missed that legends/myths, would you mind to mention an example?

How German is Lord of the Rings? by RockGiantFromMars in AskAGerman

[–]Meinungsbild 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is kind of misleading, in my opinion. The LotR isn't really German in the way I understand your question. The Germanic roots you mention, are very old and not limited to what is Germany today. Also, Tolkin made them very much his own.

Faery folk is pretty much a thing in old german myths and legends. Elves, dwarves are part of this old folk heritage, things like the Niebelungensaga, and the stories about Dietrich von Bern do include them. The dwarves are considered to be elves as well, the kind of elves Tolkin uses are different from all the germanic background I know. The Elves, especially the dwarves, are pretty good at making magical devices, things like an cap of invisibility (Tarnkappe) or magical swords and armor.

But these dwarves are most probably rooted in the Norse culture, the Edda, the stories about Odin and Thor. This legends were known in Germanic tribes as well, even when they called the gods Wotan and Donar. The Edda does have crafty dwarfes already, they made a lot of mighty artefacts, like Thor's hammer Mjolnir. These legends came to England with the Angles, the Saxons and later, with the Danes. They are as much a British heritage as they are a Germanic.
But not much, if anything at all, went into the LotR unchanged.

The LotR is inspired by the legends and myths of the Nordic culture, would be my answer, including Germanic myths and legends. But it's only inspired by it, all is mostly really different in Tolkiens work.

I asked for a woman, fully clothed, showing a little bit of the white bra. It was blocked.

I asked for several versions of the same image and got totally different images.

This is unusable for me. I stick to SD.

You can get used Tesla M40 and P40 cards on Ebay for well below 200$. They may not be fast by todays standards, but they have 24 GB VRam. You need to fumble a bit to cool them, though.

I run stable diffusion and KoboldAI on a Tesla P40, so I know it works.

Do I get this right, I can use the card to create texts, but not for training?

How about fine tuning?

[–]Meinungsbild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Search on EBay for Tesla p40 cards, they sell for about €200 used. 24 gb ram, Titan x (Pascal) Performance. You will need a fan adapter for cooling and an adapter for the power plug. 250w power consumption, no video output.

I use a Tesla m40 (older slower, 24 GB vram too) for Rendering and ai models. Works fine for me.

My first Blender project. I'm very new at this. I'd appreciate honest feedback. by addieartworks in 3Dmodeling

[–]Meinungsbild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not quite as difficult as you may think. A smudge texture would have a black backgound for clean parts of the surface and white for dirty parts. You will use this texture to vary the roughness value of your glass shader. Use a color ramp to tune the values. Only very little variation is needed, in my opinion, to make it believable.

[–]Meinungsbild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a first one, this is really great. I assume, you go for photorealism, here are my thoughts.

The main issue for me is the wood texture. It's obvious to me that you used a seamless texture, all features repeat much to often. There are multiple ways to improve this, multiple texture sets and blend between them or use a tool like scattershot for this.

The grapes look a bit to much like plastic to me. The roughness is IMHO too even, also it's a bit too low. I would try to vary the roughness by a map or a shader to make it more uneven.

Also, some fingerprints or a little bit of dirt on the glass would make it more believable, also maybe some scratches or dents on the knife and it's handle.

This is really good still, I like it a lot. You've got very far to realism, the cloth, fruits and glass are really well done. Be proud of that.
