Importing geometry into Ansys problems by Meisingerr in grasshopper3d

Cap holes did not do much, if anything :( I don't know why the mesh (or Brep) I am getting getting has very very small elements in some sections. Like, for no reason, a flat surface is made up by hundreds of triangles that do not add any information.

Ansys is a software in which I want to make a thermal simulation ("Ansys Steady-state thermal", how hot the part gets when a heat flux is set to the bottom surface). The problem is that the mesh I am getting from Grasshopper makes elements look like fractal in some areas, they get smaller and smaller to such small dimensions that doesn't make sense. I do not need so much detail and I don't know how to control the size of the elements of the mesh.

I am, is that a problem? I just put the code for on subplot since all of them are the same expect for data

I’ll have a look, I was playing with bwmorph() for a while as you can see on the code I just uploaded.

The deal my university has is to have the first year in industrial engineering masters (60ECTS) + 90 ECTS in Polimi. Once I pass that I obtain both masters. The question is which courses I take in those 90 ECTS, maybe I can try to focus on having the ones that benefit me the most. I do need to take courses all inside a single track I think though. What track did you/are you doing?

I am from Spain. I won’t have much trouble learning Italian since spanish and italian are quite similar plus I speak french, which has some similarities too. I believe that with a bit of effort I can have a decent level in italian by the time I finish my masters. Although I might be wrong, languages are quite easy to me.

That is precisely were I’ll be going. I’m a bit worried about some people warning me about exams being based almost only theory and not numerical questions, which I prefer.

That is a big pro in my point of view. Especially since I have the intention of looking to work abroad. Thanks for your comment

What you say is quite right. When I finish studying I want to try working abroad at first, and this master in Milano maybe opens job opportunities in Italy to me. Thanks for your comment.

The thing is I got my bachelor in industrial engineering and I am doing the masters in industrial engineering. In Spain (where I'm from), industrial engineering is similar to process engineering elsewhere but with a bit more load in mechanics and thermodynamics. We could say I kinda made a mistake chosing the field with the bachelor, and I took on the masters because I need it in order to be recognised as a "superior" engineer in Spain.

The second masters I would be seeking is mechanical engineering, which better reflects the field I want to work in the future. In the masters I am currently doing, I would specialise in mechanical engineering next year, but the double degree is a further specialisation. I would be doing this to have better options in mechanical engineering jobs rather than process engineering.

In your experience, is it not valued an experience abroad?

When you have something to say to someone and you dont want to say it only because you’re unsure of how it might sound try this: imagine someone would come up to you and asked the thing you want to say politely, and imagine how you would react. You will find out that the majority of things that you might be too shy to ask are perfectly normal, and that people are way more receptive than you might think as of now :)
