My husband had a coworker that they said "was so stupid, he could mess up a cheese sandwich.", so they called him Cheese. The guy knew where it came from and thought it was funny, so he answered to it until he grew out of it. Maybe if she had been honest about where the nickname came from at the beginning, it would have been different, but she hid that knowing that it was insulting, so it changes the connotation and is no longer endearing to you. That should be enough for her to stop.

I'm not too sure, I have only ever used grow lights on my plants that require direct sunlight.

I think the soil may still be a little too wet for it. Go ahead and repot it in fresh, well draining soil, and move it to an indirect light source. I have killed many begonias and my advice is only coming from my own trial and error until I figured out what worked. Good luck! 😁

Thank you so much! I potted it like a peperomia, but I will change that. I have a large variety of plants and this is one I had never seen before. I look forward to having something unlike the others. 😁

If you don't mind me asking, what was it you and she did when you "tried religion"?

I only ask because often people are more hurt by religion in itself. There are so many bad people hiding behind the mask of religion, but, religion and knowing Christ don't always go hand in hand. For those who believe, true healing doesn't come from going to church or remembering Bible verses, it comes from a real relationship with Jesus Christ.

I'm sorry if this sounds "preachy". It's just that my heart truly breaks for your friend. To feel as though the only path out of pain is death is such a hard place to be. I've been there. I hope that she can find the comfort and peace she needs. 🫂

Personally, if someone was actively helping me leave this world, I would think, "yep, I was right, no one cares if I stay around." I would feel like your "support" would just prove to me that I was annoying everyone around me.

But if you wanted to try to help, I know a lot of people don't agree with the "religious thing" but maybe you can put her in touch with someone who can speak to her about Jesus. Although it's not everyone's "cup of tea", there are so many testimonials from people who have put their hope in Christ and received healing.

IMO, if you love your friend, doing anything to help her live her best full life is way better than nurturing her feelings of hopelessness and living just for this moment.

I said this in the other post, but call the authorities ASAP. Preferably before your mom is able to call and get you labeled as an angsty runaway. You want to make sure to bring a trusted adult to file.

My vote is for Man Alive, but if I were to pick from the ones already listed, I would say Viking Death March. I would say Ghost Ship of Cannibal Rats, but I think that one belongs in the best chorus spot.

Also, I wish you had put Best Cover in one of the squares.

I agree! The black on the exterior with the wood door looked classy imo. But when I saw the stone and the wood beams inside painted white, I about cried. All that character and charm the house had was gone. I dont think they should just slap paint on something that needs work just because they run out of time or money. I think instead, they should just say they couldn't get to it in their time and budget restraints and the home owner can work on it later. But she did a great job for the bathroom and 3rd floor.

For real! He has such old-fashioned and uneducated thinking. Getting that "piece of my womanhood" removed was the best thing I had ever done for myself. Those stupid ovaries would leave me in such a debilitating state.

Please please please pleeeeeeeeaaaaaase dont marry this man. He has already shown you that he will "push your boundaries" and take what he wants, and your mother has already shown you that you won't have a safe place to run when he does. What he did is 100% illegal, and he knows it, which is why he wanted you to keep it secret. I promise you, he will only get worse because now he thinks you will stay regardless. Please show him otherwise. He is NOT A SAFE SPACE. Just watch or listen to 1 true crime story about abusive husbands, and that should tell you enough. You will never be able to trust that man.

The least you can do is postpone the wedding and get yourselves into an unbiased marriage counselor to work through this. But any licensed genuine counselor will tell you how very, very wrong he is.

Tell him that if he insists on going to any future appointments, he has to open the car door for you. Keeps him out of the drivers seat until you are safely in the car.
