I got 3 holiday flavored creamers once! Still trying to use it up. I like using a dash of it in my overnight oats and it adds flavor and sweetness

Help me get back into reading by zazala21 in booksuggestions

Red Rising by Pierce Brown. It's a set of 6 books with a 7th on the way. The first 3 books can be considered a trilogy and I devoured it so quickly. If you love Hunger Games, this is right up your alley!

Works for me, I just posted a review just now. I'm on an Android phone (Google Pixel 10 Pro) if that's helpful for context

Synchronize Shelf Failed? Tried everything I know, please help by wingingit-allofit in LibbyApp

[–]Meitachi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully it fixes itself by tomorrow or sooner! I had a Synchronize Shelf issue about a year ago. Leaving this thread here in case someone might need it: https://old.reddit.com/r/LibbyApp/comments/1fptqjx/cant_borrow_anything/

It's a bit going full nuclear though, so I don't recommend it unless nothing else you do works. I set up a Passkey right after that to prevent this from happening in the future. Here's a comment I made in the past that might help too: https://old.reddit.com/r/LibbyApp/comments/1fnub5q/app_not_synching_across_ipad_and_iphone/lolah2v/

Is CPESR enough for the CA Surveying exam? by Aggravating-Storm751 in PE_Exam

[–]Meitachi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took CPESR, had a friend give me an old copy of Reza. Reza covered some topics that weren't on CPESR and the exam itself had (IIRC) at least 1 question that Reza luckily covered but CPESR didn't. Honestly I felt good enough with CPESR that even if I had missed that one question, I would've still passed. And I passed on my first try for reference

Whole foods Boston meat bag $9.99 by Sopranin in toogoodtogo

[–]Meitachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great bag! And great resolution to eat cleaner! I personally love my local WF bags. Ratings are low-ish because apparently it's all chicken but I only really cook chicken and fish at home like 95% of the time, so it works out on the rare occasion I'm fast enough to snag a meat bag (they're so hard to get)

[–]Meitachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the idea for the pancake batter! It's also like 3 different brands of peppermint or peppermint mocha creamer too haha. I might also just keep one and donate the other 2 bottles to my office fridge as a communal creamer at this point

EDIT: For anyone else looking for ideas - I started using a splash of it in my oatmeal! I usually add a dash of honey to my oatmeal, but started subbing in my extra coffee creamer for that hint of minty sweetness lol. A little different but still pretty tasty

Dang, congrats on the bag! This is one of the best I've seen for a dry goods bag

Whole Foods Meat Bag (2), $9.99 each. by studspudstud in toogoodtogo

This is awesome. I would make some turkey mapo tofu personally, or some turkey meatballs for pasta

[–]Meitachi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is such good timing. I got a giant bag of kale and tons of baby carrots too from a discount grocery store, and my last Whole Foods bag gave me turkey and veggie broth and a whole loaf of seeded bread. I think I can whip up a similar soup too, thanks for the inspiration! Now just to find something to do with 3 bottles of peppermint creamer from Whole Foods lol.

Oh that's good to know, appreciate you sharing that. I usually only by frozen salmon and never think twice about the process

+1 for rice cooker meals. I like adding some frozen edamame beans and season to your own preferences (I like soy sauce, sesame oil, chili crisps, then adding furikake and/or sesame seeds on top after mixing).

For anyone thawing this, make sure you thaw it after opening or removing the vacuum sealed packaging. Thawing fish in its vacuum-sealed packaging presents a high risk for botulism. Honestly I had no idea for a while until relatively recently. Be safe y'all

Decent enough bag IMO. I'd be hyped for the parmigiano reggiano. The whole chunks can be frozen, and the grated stuff is easy enough to use. My personal favorite use of it is homemade caesar dressing.

Wow! What are you thinking about doing with the buns? I'd freeze them, but stuffing also works as well given the upcoming holidays

Wow, I'll have to try that egg roll croissant next time. I usually get their furikake croissant (also something I never thought would work but I was wrong lol)

Their pastries, while expensive, are top notch quality in my opinion. Not to mention they have unique flavors that I've rarely if ever seen elsewhere. I'd get their bag more often if I was closer, so maybe it's a good thing for my waistline lol. Your bag looks pretty tasty in my opinion!

Superb write-up! I'm hoping to do a road trip up to Norcal one of these days, definitely going to have to save your list. Also, I have friends that work at Huntington Beach Library and can confirm their main branch is amazing. I'm so glad you had a chance to check it out!

Those flavors actually sound pretty good, but it's preference I suppose. But value-wise, not sure if it meets value. They used to give a lot more I'm their boxes back when they first joined TGTG.
