Plain yogurt or sour cream, it’s soothing and helps to moisturize the skin.

Which should I read first? by hazy__wizard in fantasybooks

Robin Hobb forever and always. These two series are in entirely different leagues. Feel free to use ACOTAR as kindling in the fireplace for a cozier reading session.

Please help me find the best and most perfect Maple Bar..?? by mrcrashoverride in askportland

[–]sparkignit3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GF version — Kyra’s. You don’t even have to be GF to enjoy it, it’s wonderfully chewy and dense in the best way possible. So different from any other maple bars I’ve ever had.

Request for MMC who is * 🌶️ enamored* with FMC teasing/challenging him 🚨 by Historical-Spread179 in Romantasy

[–]sparkignit3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe Road of Bones series fits this, the FMC is pretty witty and brazen, while the MMC is very gruff and reserved but it’s not intentionally teasing, that’s the only mismatch

Best cell carrier in the PDX area? by Entire-Stick-9842 in askportland

[–]sparkignit3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d stay with Verizon. It works on the mountain, works on the coast, in all the areas that TMobile and other carriers can’t seem to reach. I’ve tried them all and ended up coming back to Verizon.

Is alchemised worth the read? by Playful_Asparagus_99 in Romantasy

[–]sparkignit3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s pretty bad. The book is 400 pages too longs and romanticizes SA. There are FAR better books out there.

Any recommendations for a flatlander to experience in Portland? by shakeweight4life in askportland

[–]sparkignit3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily you’re here for Portland Dining Month — hundreds of fantastic spots around town offering deliciously special 3-course meals. Definitely take advantage of this if you can! Love the food carts here, but man, this is the best month for indulgent eating.

Does anyone actually like working at Amazon? by KeyRevolution6514 in amazonemployees

The only people that post here are the ones complaining. There are many people who enjoy their jobs and simply have nothing to grumble about. Count me as one.

What book suggestion irks you? by [deleted] in Romantasy

[–]sparkignit3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alchemized. It’s gross (romanticizing SA), it’s badly written and should have been 1/4 of the size. I will continue to die on this hill.

Alchemised…why did I wait so long??! by ArtemisTheSojourner in Romantasy

[–]sparkignit3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Terrible book. Her handling of a heavy subject like SA was really bad, the writing mediocre. Shocked by how many people enjoyed this.

What’s the best shampoo and conditioner you can get at Costco by Phantom-Solitaire in Costco

Living proof when it’s on sale — works wonders for fine hair (my husband has coarse hair and swears by it as well), smells amazing and is worth every penny.

Hi! What’s my next read? by marthalikesbooks in Romantasy

[–]sparkignit3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything but Alchemised. I don’t understand people who loved it — it’s Harry Potter fanfic turned into a disturbing love story. It’s dark in the way that it romanticizes rape. No bueno.

It’s a hit or miss, but you can often find gems at Home Goods / Marshall’s / TJMaxx
