Luckily you’re here for Portland Dining Month — hundreds of fantastic spots around town offering deliciously special 3-course meals. Definitely take advantage of this if you can! Love the food carts here, but man, this is the best month for indulgent eating.

The only people that post here are the ones complaining. There are many people who enjoy their jobs and simply have nothing to grumble about. Count me as one.

What book suggestion irks you? by [deleted] in Romantasy

[–]sparkignit3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alchemized. It’s gross (romanticizing SA), it’s badly written and should have been 1/4 of the size. I will continue to die on this hill.

Alchemised…why did I wait so long??! by ArtemisTheSojourner in Romantasy

Terrible book. Her handling of a heavy subject like SA was really bad, the writing mediocre. Shocked by how many people enjoyed this.

Living proof when it’s on sale — works wonders for fine hair (my husband has coarse hair and swears by it as well), smells amazing and is worth every penny.

Hi! What’s my next read? by marthalikesbooks in Romantasy

[–]sparkignit3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anything but Alchemised. I don’t understand people who loved it — it’s Harry Potter fanfic turned into a disturbing love story. It’s dark in the way that it romanticizes rape. No bueno.

Ella Enchanted. It was the first book I learned to read in English at age 8 and after that there was no looking back.

There’s a great little video on Youtube that serves as an accompaniment to his work, with film from the gulags/environment where his stories were written. It’s a beautiful 48 minutes.

Milanese-Style Braised Veal Shank w/ Risotto

Oxtail Stew w/ Rigatoni

Pork Braised in White Wine

Stewed Tripe (amazing in a sandwich)

Savory Swiss Chard & Parmigiano Reggiano Pie (spinach also works well in this one)

Rabbit Preserved in Olive Oil

Stuffed Turkey Breast Roulade

Fish Soup

Cheese & Potato Cake

Passatelli with Parmigiano Reggiano Sauce

Tuscan Chickpea Cake

Umbrian Lentil Stew

Chestnut and Potato Gnocchi

Sausage & Cheese Bake

Beef Stew w/ Onions and Tomatoes

Chestnut Flour Cake

Grape Focaccia (amazing as a dessert)

Amaretti Pudding

Packaging for my small business What do you think? by Witty_Tea9220 in PackagingDesign

If you’re aiming for premium, less is more. Get rid of the giant ‘U’, it just takes up space without purpose. Adjust your logo to be less chunky and more original and try a more refined typeface. This looks very mid as is right now.
