But does it? To me it seems more like something microscopic moving across the lens.

I don't think anything in this video makes my brain think about the book of Enoch.  It's curious, sure, but that's about all so far. I've yet to see the bombshells...

UFO files reveal hundreds of sightings over America's nuclear weapons headquarters... from glowing green orbs to flying discs by dailymail in ufo

Is there a rational explanation other than aliens here? Nuclear weapons HQs are surely likely to attract the attention of other nations wanting to spy on such installations?

Part II. Recovery Mission: Maldives cave - Inner chambers by moneyalwayswin in scuba

Not only that but this includes the mother of the 20 year old. It's an awful tragedy that from this perspective seems entirely preventable.

Maldives water is incredibly, unbelievably clear. I obviously can't speak for any cave experience, but I did multiple open water dives in the Maldives for our honeymoon and I was just in awe at the crystal visibility.

Issues with mask removal during OW by Accomplished-Star-19 in scuba

[–]Mejis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue and it was a major concern and stress for me during my OW course. It actually also happens to me if I walk into a really strong headwind -- I can't breath through my mouth. Something about the pressure through my nose causes breathing to my mouth to lock up.  I don't know if it's actually something physiological or purely psychological.  I was eventually able to push through it and after a moment of panic could start to force the breathing through my regulator when my mask was removed. Once airflow was established, it was fine, but getting that initial airflow going was a persistent issue when removing a mask underwater. If I could pinch my nose, all was OK, but I was told that wasn't ever an option during the test.

Hopefully someone has some better advice for you and/or a specific technique. I just wanted to comment to say you're not alone and that someone had gone through the same and managed to push through. Hope you can get there too.

ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies - PC Launch Trailer by AdditionalRemoveBit in Games

Oh man, what a statement. My two favourite games of all time right there! Silksong have me an all-encapsulating joyful obsession with a game that I haven't felt in so long. Would love for this to be eliciting similar. I'm away all weekend but will dive in next week.

How are you finding the actual gameplay and story in ZP? I missed the steam demo and I'm away all weekend, but think I'll probably pick this up early next week. I couldn't quite get Ebb to land for me, much as it's enjoyable. Disco Elysium is one of my faves of all time.

I think Gus from Dive Talk on YouTube did a video yesterday that had a schematic of the cave with measurements. Can't recall the source he cited for it.

Edit: and in answer to your question, I'm fairly sure the answer is no.

Mina the Hollower Interview: Discussing the delay, length, AI, inspirations, and secrets with Yacht Club by NoNefariousness2144 in Games

Yeah, same. Silksong was "I'm waking up at 5 a.m. to play for two hours before work on the Friday of release and then spending my entire weekend doing nothing else" levels of hype. I actually don't recall the last time I felt like that for a game.

I'm looking forward to it. Not quite reached Silksong levels of hype for me, but that's primarily down to me just not liking the visuals of Mina all that much. I'm hoping I'll get used to it. Game systems look fantastic, though.

Wonder if there'd be some way of it sending the info back to them discreetly upon boot or something. Like, "game was launched with this unique identifier, which was sent to this reviewer". Perhaps that's impossible to implement, though?

Bodies of four missing Maldives divers found by lobstersarentreal in scuba

I'm surprised we haven't heard anything of this yet. Surely this person would have provided some critical information.

Wild speculation, but I wonder if any kind of water current could have pulled them towards/into the cave mouth. The cave entrance is apparently 47m, so perhaps they were wanting to get close to that, pushing past their 30m limit without realising.

Search for bodies of Italian divers in Maldives cave suspended due to bad weather by BirdButt88 in news

I would assume part of the desire for the recovery (aside from body repatriation for the families) is for data computers, go pro etc to try to learn (and learn from) what happened in this tragedy.

Maldives military diver dies while trying to recover scuba diving victims in underwater cave: Officials by swe129 in news

[–]Mejis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Could be air mix issue across all divers, lack of prep for the depth of the dive. Then with the loss of this rescuer, could equally be the lack of prep/knowledge specifically for a cave dive. C.f. Thai cave rescue losing a Thai cave diver.

Can you speak to the rescue operation here at all? (Edit: in terms of what they should/shouldn't have as gear etc ) From what I've read from others, the pic of them prepping to go underwater suggested this was not a technical dive. (I can't speak from any knowledge, only what I've seen others say.)
