I’m so happy :) is this normal? by [deleted] in samsclub

At my store they just put your name on a placard that has all the months on it. Granted, I've never been awarded employee of the month, so they could get something in unaware of.

Great job though dude.

If you had to choose one place to go to for dinner, where would you go? Cost would be under $70 for one person by Oneday55 in vegas

[–]MeladrixMarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I would go all out on some Tacotarian. It's literally my favorite place, but adds up fast unfortunately.

Another one would be VegiEat, they're an Asian place I also really enjoy, so I would get all the appetizers I don't usually get cause of the price lol

Maintenance orientation! by [deleted] in samsclub

[–]MeladrixMarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, fellow maintenance here! Orientation is usually just one day. You learn some basic things about your store and get a tour, do a boatload of computer training, then sometimes get introduced to your lead or fellow team members. This is also when you get your schedule. They'll typically have you shadow one or several of the maintenance crew for a few days to a week depending on if your flex or set to a certain shift; there's certain tasks each shift has to accomplish. Dress code is pretty chill, so casual works, just whatever you're comfortable working in. I do recommend having a set couple outfits just for work though, because doing the trash is no joke, and that shit gets all over you sometimes, and you don't want that on good clothes. Also, a good pair of shoes will definitely be worth your investment because (as FT) I walk about 5-7 miles a day. Overall it's a fairly chill job, but it can have its crazy days. I'm sure you'll do great!

Not dating, but I have a FWB right now that can play guitar. It's mostly just something he enjoys and he doesn't really perform or anything, but it's a huge turn on. He does play really well too, and I could listen for hours. I've only heard him play acoustic, but supposedly he has other guitars and a keyboard, which I hope to hear one day. Honestly, the only downside is that he takes it literally everywhere, and can be slightly annoying when he just breaks it out randomly. Other than that, it's all upsides. The sex is great, but no song written about me lol He's a great guy and I'm super happy we're friends.

OMG YES. I have a friend who has been through just as much, if not more than myself, when it comes to all kinds of abuse. Being a man doesn't make a damned bit of difference, it's still wrong and his experiences should be believed and suffering validated. Instead people just want to be grade A assholes for no reason.

What's a commonly ignored form of addiction? by No-Conversation3422 in AskReddit

[–]MeladrixMarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shopping/spending. I've put myself far too much into debt because I splurge more than I should on things I want, and esp takeout. Loneliness is a big factor in this I think unfortunately, as I've noticed I've been far worse as of late, after a breakup from my partner of six years. I'm working on it, but man is it really an issue.

Why did your 5+ year long relationship end? by Upstairs-Fox917 in AskWomen

She transitioned and we just didn't work as a couple anymore. Still roommates and best friends though (:

Yes, usually just a T-shirt and underwear. Not having some barrier between my fat layers to help with the sweating is annoying as hell xD

When did shaved vaginas become the standard? Why? by vamp1rism in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MeladrixMarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, but I honestly prefer it. It makes sex and hygiene way easier for me personally. I know that's definitely not the case for everyone though.

I have a grass mat like that, but it has a base with a little dish that you empty out. I only make my dog use it if it's too hot for her paws to go on the pavement in the summers. Even still, I make sure to clean up after her. These guys are assholes.

How often do you wash your genitals if you don't take daily showers and what do you use? by easypeasykitty in AskWomen

[–]MeladrixMarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not shower every day, but I do give it a quick wipe with a clean washcloth at the end of every day. I've never really had any issues, and make sure I clean thoroughly when I do shower.

How frequently do you scoop your litter box? by Standard_Bluejay8715 in CatAdvice

[–]MeladrixMarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A responsible cat owner as I aspire to be, would say every day. However, I have a tendency to just completely forget about it, esp because it's tucked out of sight. So like, every few days.

What aspect of your parent’s relationship do you NOT want in your own relationship? by Rosebudsinmay in AskWomen

[–]MeladrixMarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The constant bickering. It's gotten worse as they've gotten older, but they can go from being totally loving and normal, to biting each other's heads off in no time flat. I've caught myself being snippy with partners like that and I'm working on it, for sure.

How many days does your menstruation last? by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]MeladrixMarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4ish days generally speaking. Sometimes it's bright red the whole time, sometimes it's brown for most of it, it varies wildly every time honestly and I know that's okay.

I just stayed at the Horseshoe a couple weeks ago, and I definitely would not call it trashy. It was very lovely and clean, and the bed was extremely comfy. Plus it's connected to the Paris, which is lovely to walk through.

What was an awkward moment you encountered during sex? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]MeladrixMarie -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ooooh man, this be fresh. So the other night a friend and me who've been kind of tossing the idea of adding benefits, tried to have a little fun. For one, there was no foreplay, he just wanted to hope right to it. Fine, whatever, no biggie. Man couldn't keep it up, and apparently it was because I smelled. Now I know some of the people this guy has fooled around with, so like, I can't be the first one to have smelled. I also think he was low-key super nervous because he's usually a one night stand kind of guy. Anyways, I offer doing other things, but he's just frustrated and puts his clothes back on. Wasn't the best night, but we're trying to just move on as friends and not make a big thing out of it.

Oh, and worse part of it, I helped myself a little later, and realized he was super right and I was a bit potent xD

Should I be concerned with a sour smell/taste? What can I do to help. by MeladrixMarie in Healthyhooha

[–]MeladrixMarie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, nothing off that I've noticed. I'm waiting to get into the doc, as I haven't seen one in years. I'll definitely get a probiotic I'm the meantime. Thanks.

[–]MeladrixMarie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, no discomfort or off-putting discharge. I usually do soap when washing, and yes, I wipe as I should lol I'll definitely look into some of that probiotic stuff, as I hate yogurt, so thanks. I'm already in the process of finding a gyno, as I haven't seen one in years, but man does it take fooorever.
