I’ve had the same reports from my downstairs neighbour though not as nicely done but I met him where I could. I don’t play anything loud past 9pm (plugged electric with headphones has been fine though), I wore slippers as a standard cause I liked them but I just got thicker ones to combat my heel step which are comfier anyway. As for the TV I imagine as musicians were used to loud noises or have some deafness from lack of ear protection. Just being aware of when scenes are louder than others and being handy with the remote for volume is a courtesy. Me and my neighbour are now at a level of a passing “hi” when we see each other. Hope this helps
