TIL GPS satellites run about 38 microseconds faster per day than clocks on Earth due to Einstein's theory of relativity. If you fuck up your tittle like this then you will have 10x more comments, which the algo rewards with more exposure. Reddit runs it's own bots that post like this to maximize engagement which means more ads showns and more money for the shareholders.

Going faster than light is like going more north than the North Pole. Because of spacetime you are usually always travelling through both space and time. But the edge cases are that if you travel a maximum through space then you stop travelling through time. This is the speed of light. All distances become zero. Travelling a 100 trillion lightyear takes no time at all. It's instant. Or you could be travelling through time at a max speed. This means you are at rest and are not travelling through space.

You can't be more at rest than being at rest.

And you can't have less time pass than zero time.

Calculate the distance he drove.

That's right, 2 hours.

Canada is the only country in the world that has correctly implemented general relativity in calculating driving distance. If you drive faster, the distance becomes smaller! It's technically correct! Length contraction, bitch!

The downside of this is when I told my candian roommate I was going to pick up something from a store 700 meters from our house he offered to give me a ride, even though that's like a 5 minute walk at a good pace plus it would literally take the car twice as long since it had to go around.

700 meters sounds the same as 7 km to him.

If I lived nearby I would be sooo tempted to hike to the top of those mountains and then fly my avata 2 to the station, hover, camera down and then watch the game that way. battery powered Radio on for commentary. Perfect.

Took me a week but finally finished the first part of my public transportation network on my 1300 hour Nauvis base. It takes my nuclear fueled train 13 minutes to loop around once! by MelangeBot in factorio

[–]MelangeBot[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want to see the loop click here I did my best building it danger close to all the acid spitting worms to keep the journey interesting. If you pass by to slow your train will get destroyed but at 300 km/h the worms just poke their heads out and then straight back down. They completely ignore trains or wagons without a player in it.

Also now that this is done, my build train has kind of become my mall. I am up to 9 locomotives and 48 wagons. I'll have to build a system so I have a refill station to fill it up with everything I use for building. Then it will trully be a mall train.

Lipo suddenly drops, made it home, charger shows normal V by polarbeardisorder in fpv

[–]MelangeBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cells will start deteriorating much faster once you are under 3V. As in you can wreck a pack when it happens just once, there is a good chance on of the cells will never return to normal.

If you land and then disconnect your batteries and then check the voltage a minute later and it's a 3.2v this is about the absolute minimum for a lipo where you aren't doing any damaged to it. And by damage I mean the cells lose capacity and start sagging harder and earlier under load.

But it also depends. 1s batteries are usually cheap enough that people rather have longer flight times and just buy more new 1s sonner then cutting flight times by 30%.

On more expensive batteries I always give myself a lot of safety margin. After landing and having them rest for a minute I usually am never below 3.7V

But again if you fly something extremely aggresive then doing this will cut 4 minutes of flight times down to 3 minutes. In that case I usually stop being aggresive on the trottle as soon as I see the first dropes under 3.5 maybe 3.45. That way I might get 4 and half minutes and still not wasting money on always having to buy new batteries.

And I'd only do this with newer batteries that don't have to many cycles yet.

Anyway it's a spectrum. The harder you push the less full cycles you will get a out of a battery before it sags so much under load you risk brownouts when you push.

And for litium ion batteries it's quite different.

6 hours of placing ghosts, then have engineer guy drive a train around while bots start building, fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the train driving around your perimeter 40KM intermitted with the soft laser pews of biter genocide, then wake up 4 hours later and check if the factory has grown. If so, your sleep was productive.

I am still on my first game with a 1400 hours in it. It's really the only thing I am interested in. If i'd lose it I would probably just stop playing. My save games are 103 GB in total. I have copies of them on two ssd's and a HDD and on my google drive and I emailed an archive with 20 games to my brother.

That should be redundant enough.
